The library's existing built-in bookshelves provide a perfect backdrop for the owners' collections of books and objects, and the space is further enhanced by the wonderful light streaming through the Juliet balcony doors at right. The sofa is by Vanguard, and the white desk chair is by Kartell. The marble table lamp is vintage.

The sofa is covered in velvet and sits before a custom onyx table . Both are flanked by 19th century French chairs. The standing sculpture and those on the coffee table are by the renowned Jamaican sculptor Basil Watson. Books always provide an amazing decorative element and visual interest. The black leather ottoman is from IKEA, the marble-topped gueridon at right is vintage, and the white ceramic bull head was purchased from an artisan collective in Cape Town, South Africa.

Inspiration for a huge timeless formal and open concept dark wood floor living room remodel in Dallas with beige walls, a ribbon fireplace, a stone fireplace and no tv

A number of years ago this once three car garage was converted to a large Family Room. Furnished in Early American my client was looking to create a more contemporary look and to allow her to display artwork. We created a conversation area, an eating area and a couple desk areas. The windows provided a great view of the apple orchard. Wanting to keep that vista without blocking it by too much heavy furniture I designed the trestle table and used the Anziano chair from Donghia. They both have an openness that doesn't spoil the view.
