Red brick veneer fireplace surround with Avalanche grout, custom painted white shelving with open sides on the brick side (ready to convert to a 3 door concept later), painted white 6 inch shiplap above the shelves, custom craftsman style white mantle, and finished with black and white painted concrete tile hearth

White cabinets were built in surrounding this fireplace. Base cabinets are designed at two levels. On top of the fireplace mantle there are two glass cabinets that are connected by an arched valance. A shallow recess was designed for a flat screen TV. The glass cabinets feature glass shelves.

We delivered this fireplace surround and mantle based on an inspiration photo from our clients. First, a bump out from the wall needed to be created. This home was formerly a dorm for Phillips Academy, and unfortunately had been completely stripped of all of its interior molding and details as it was converted to house more students over the years. We took this home down to the exterior masonry block shell, and rebuilt a new home within the existing structure. After rebuilding the original footprint of most of the rooms, we then added all the traditional elements one would have hoped to find inside this magnificent home.

The homeowners wanted a contemporary living room, instead of the tradition living room they had. Normandy Designer Karen Chanan created this beautiful fireplace renovation as part of a larger project, and the results are just dynamic.

The Carmela is layered with visual interest beginning with its plinth block foundation and linear legs framed with a unique bull nose detail.

Was previously a red brick wood burning fireplace with a matching hearth. We refaced with MDF, Marble subway tile, Spectacular leather finished granite. The gas insert is a Kozy Heat Chaska 34, and the T.V. is a 4K Vizio. The flooring is BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Select Brazilian Chestnut.

A lovely, relaxing family room, complete with gorgeous stone surround fireplace, topped with beautiful crown molding and beadboard above. Open beams and a painted ceiling, the French Slider doors with transoms all contribute to the feeling of lightness and space. Gorgeous hardwood flooring, buttboard walls behind the open book shelves and white crown molding for the cabinets, floorboards, door framing...simply lovely.
