Photo by Kristen Lazorchak A carport was chosen over a garage. Due to lack of space on the property, the area had to be attached to the house and is small. Closing in the space would make it feel claustrophobic and we had concerns about negative health effects from attached, enclosed garages. The ceiling was left vaulted with beams exposed to make the space feel larger.
