When my parents purchased a home in Arizona, the hall powder room became an insufficient use of space for the many out of town visitors frequenting the house. Our goal was to turn the half bath, which was adjacent to a guest bedroom, into a 3/4 bath, by removing a privacy wall, repositioning the toilet and sink, and adding a corner shower to accommodate guests. We incorporated the Santa Fe style and colors into the decor by installing slate floors, a slate stack stone shower surround, and a travertine countertop with a glass sin

Mudroom - traditional brick floor and gray floor mudroom idea in New York

The back entry leads into this very functional, bright and airy mudroom, with bench seating, lots of storage and tiled floors. No mess worries here and plenty of storage to keep it neat.

This remodel went from a tiny story-and-a-half Cape Cod, to a charming full two-story home. The mudroom features a bench with cubbies underneath, and a shelf with hooks for additional storage. The full glass back door provides natural light while opening to the backyard for quick access to the detached garage. The wall color in this room is Benjamin Moore HC-170 Stonington Gray. It's hard to believe that this gorgeous master bath was once a small, dull bathroom. Our clients wanted a luxurious, yet practical bath. To accommodate a double vanity, we re-claimed space from an existing closet and replaced the lost space by adding a cantilever on the other side of the room. The material selections bring the mission style aesthetic to life - natural cherry cabinets, black pearl granite, oil rubbed bronze medicine cabinets, vessel sink, multi-color slate floors and shower tile surround.
