Built from the ground up on 80 acres outside Dallas, Oregon, this new modern ranch house is a balanced blend of natural and industrial elements. The custom home beautifully combines various materials, unique lines and angles, and attractive finishes throughout. The property owners wanted to create a living space with a strong indoor-outdoor connection. We integrated built-in sky lights, floor-to-ceiling windows and vaulted ceilings to attract ample, natural lighting. The master bathroom is spacious and features an open shower room with soaking tub and natural pebble tiling. There is custom-built cabinetry throughout the home, including extensive closet space, library shelving, and floating side tables in the master bedroom. The home flows easily from one room to the next and features a covered walkway between the garage and house. One of our favorite features in the home is the two-sided fireplace – one side facing the living room and the other facing the outdoor space. In addition to the fireplace, the homeowners can enjoy an outdoor living space including a seating area, in-ground fire pit and soaking tub.

The shower walls are 24x12 limestone tiles with hand picked river rock (gathered at nearby Weber Creek) mixed with iridescent glass tiles. The bath floor is Beachwood slate tile.

This spacious Master Bath was once a series of three small rooms. Walls were removed and the layout redesigned to create an open, luxurious bath, with a curbless shower, heated floor, folding shower bench, body spray shower heads as well as a hand-held shower head. This guest bathroom has white marble tile in the shower and small herringbone mosaic on the floor. The shower tile is taken all the way to the ceiling to emphasize height and create a larger volume in an otherwise small space. large 12 x24 marble tiles were cut down in three widths, to create a pleasing rhythm and pattern. The sink cabinet also has a marble top.

The different elements in the cabana bath make it very charming.

Soft blue tile and natural stone create a calming, spa-like retreat. A large picture window frames the ocean beyond, seamlessly connecting the shower to the surrounding coastal landscape.

The clients asked for a master bath with a ranch style, tranquil spa feeling. The large master bathroom has two separate spaces; a bath tub/shower room and a spacious area for dressing, the vanity, storage and toilet. The floor in the wet room is a pebble mosaic. The walls are large porcelain, marble looking tile. The main room has a wood-like porcelain, plank tile.
