Jordan Iverson Signature Homes

We loved the model house, but someone else beat us to it. So, we have Jordan build us a new one, with several upgrades. The house is perfect. There were a few issues (e.g., scratches on the oven, window handle), but Jordan sent his project manager, Chris, to take care of it. Most of the issues have been taken care of, and the remaining ones will likely be fixed soon.

After we purchased our property we began to search for a builder to build our dream home and we interviewed a number of local architects and design build firms. What set Jordan and his team apart was the energy and excitement they had for our project and his proven track record of building beautiful and interesting custom homes in or area. The design phase of the project was collaborative and thorough. Jordan has a great eye for arranging spaces in a building, creating houses that flow from room to room and minimize wasted space. The build phase went smoothly and stayed on time and on budget. We really appreciated JISH's transparent method of budget and expense tracking. It allowed us to understand where our money was going and why and let us make decisions on where to be frugal and where to spend a bit more. After the house was complete Jordan and his team have stood by their work. In all JISH built us a beautiful home and it was a very positive experience.

Building a house is easy. I could do it myself, I'm just too busy holding down a full-time job, raising children, balancing finances, and maintaining the perfect marriage while posting it all on social media. *Takes selfie* You might be worried, like I was, that everything will go as planned and you'll never be surprised, and you should be. Things always go as planned in a new build. Plus, how many times do you build a house? Doing things you don't know how to do is generally stress-free. Here was our strategy… Step one: delegate. When we first sat down, Jordan said, what do you want, and we had no idea. So he took us through the design process, sketch after sketch after sketch after sketch after sketch after sketch after sketch after sketch after sketch after sketch. The more he talked to us about ideas he had for our design, the more ideas we had, and the more complicated (and dare I say unrealistic) our expectations became. But, the folks at JISH have been doing this, and doing it well, for probably longer than you've wanted to build a house. They know the tricks to make modern design work for practical living (and practical budgets). Step two: plan with an expert. Luckily, when completing a complex task, things usually go just as planned, before, during, and after the build. Construction problem is really an oxymoron. Things never go wrong. For example, the first vacant lot we looked at buying was relatively flat with easy access. I told my wife straight up, Baby, this is too easy, let's chisel something out of a cliff, like Batman. She loved the idea. We built on a steep hill, with a narrow street, and limited access to utilities, I thought, let's see what this Iverson guy can do. He's got that HGTV award so we went full Iron Chef, or Chopped, or whatever. Each awkward planning meetings we included random difficult tasks and requests that my wife and I made up over cocktails. We would tell him our crazy, unrealistic requests with a deadpanned, just to see the look on Jordan's face. Then afterword we'd sit back, amazed, when he actually planned for unrealistic stuff we'd made up as a joke: triple-level decks, a modern garage door opening from the kitchen onto the deck, a firepole (this last one we called uncle on after we realized we could be sued it someone died using it, but Jordan didn't flinch). Step three: afterword. I cannot believe how easy it is to take this house for granted. I swear I could live in the Taj Mahal, and I'd still forget to take my shoes off. The crew at JISH did our walk-though, and I talked about Donald Trump's hairpiece the whole time. Eventually, later, when I started to notice things that needed to be tweaked or modified (we've lived here three years), I'd just text the team and they'd send a subcontractor over to fix it. New houses have little things that need TLC after the build, like cracks from the foundation settling, and other stuff, like we had a sink that needed the faucet replaced. I offered to fix them, and my wife and I laugh and laugh. She really has a beautiful laugh, especially when things break. The good news is that Jordan and his posse stand by their work, a pretty cool concept. Maybe it will catch on?

It has been a full year since Jordan Iverson's firm completed construction of our primary residence in Eugene, Oregon ....time enough to appreciate just how successful he was with this project. His strengths are obvious; an imaginative design combined with careful attention to detail are what had led us to him. He did not disappoint. As we moved through construction we found Jordan to be accessible, responsive and seemingly ahead of us with an ability to anticipate our interest in incorporating a roof line of varying heights and an exterior featuring a mix of surface materials. His interior focus on high ceilings with large areas of glass and metalwork completed the picture. He shares with us an interest in the use of architectural steel, from his designs for a living room partition framed in fabricated steel, a mesh feature wall along a nearby stairwell and with his long, low built-in seating area adjacent to our central fireplace. Each finished steel element is evidence of his skill as a craftsman. Jordan and his team worked closely with his subcontractors and with us, whether in the office or on-site, to create our impressive home.

We were downsizing and found the perfect project with Jordan Iverson Homes (JISH). We purchased one of 12 homes built 6 by 6 on either side of a communal green space with rolling grass and trees and a large, covered communal grill and tables at one end. We chose a 2 bedroom/2.5 bath, with the master and living space on the second floor. The vaulted ceilings with east and west views of sunrise/sunsets gives lends an expansive and light filled feeling. The experience was fantastic from purchase to completion. The design team were professional, communicative, visionary. There were no delays! NO DELAYS! The home has a touch of urban influence with a reference to classic tradition. Muted grays throughout with solid wood details that add warmth and character. We loved the entire building experience. Every single person on the team, from Jordan Iverson, the builder, to the members of the design team, to project manager. This property is an amazing purchase. We are thrilled with our home and overall experience.

Jordan has a flair for contemporary design and quality craftmanship. The team at JISH built a home for me last year that I absolutely love. My guests are always raving about how beautiful my house is. Jordan incorporated some stylish components - like quartz countertops, subway tile, KAHRS floors, shiplap and even and barn door. The team was great to work with and always responded to my questions and requests. I know that I was challenging at times, but I never got a negative response back from anyone. I'm sure anyone that uses JISH for a building project will be more than satisfied with the work they do.

5 stars and more to Jordan and his excellent team. We finally found a contemporary house of our liking in a great neighborhood earlier this year. It had a structure that we liked but needed Jordan's flair to transform it into something we had had always imagined. We ended up redoing the entire interior---and we couldn't be happier. Having heard and read glowing reviews and personally seen his work, we had already decided on Jordan and his team for our remodeling project. It is rare and amazing how approachable and receptive he is to your ideas and needs but delivers a product in the end that is truly a piece of art. From the beginning, JISH team has been very professional and involved in planning the remodeling. We had several meetings and were presented great ideas and products for wall colors, flooring, fireplace, kitchen, bathrooms, carpet, rails, light fixtures etc. The meetings were never hurried and every single detail meticulously planned. Throughout the process, we never felt pressured. The finances---it was the most transparent process we have experienced and the estimates were very accurate. We have been enjoying our house for the last few months now and are extremely satisfied and happy with our decision to work with Jordan. There has only been praise for the "after" transformation of the house from friends and visitors. We love the elegant wall colors and the unique fireplace with its white stone and woodwork. The black metal rails and wood column have made the living area bright and modern. The kitchen was made bigger with great cabinets and appliances. The bathrooms are beautiful and we love the lights and tiles in the shower. We love the sauna in the master bathroom. It was challenging to fit a good sized sauna in the space meant for a tub, but it was done! Jordan's team was a pleasure to work with. We cannot think of how many different ways Driana has been helpful....text, email, phone....she has answered even the most mundane questions....and most importantly, the interior designing. Cannot thank her enough. What an asset to the JISH team. Steve has a wealth of experience and has come to the rescue and delivered at the most challenging of times. We hope to work on the exterior later. Highly recommend!!

We are extremely happy with our renovated house! Everything was exactly what we wanted. Jordan and his team were easy to get a hold of when we had a question and always flexible with any changes we wanted to make, which were often. I loved working with Driana and how helpful she was when choosing all the little details. The quality of the finishes are top notch and we couldn't be happier, we truly have our dream home! Jordan built a custom home for us in Eugene OR. It is absolutely perfect for us, and we love it. His team's attention to detail is what sets an Iverson Signature Home apart from the others. Folks who pay attention to such things have noticed and commented upon the quality of the work in our house. If you walk through enough new houses--or visit houses in home tours--you get a feel for what makes a home special versus run-of-the-mill. There's nothing run-of-the-mill about Jordan's work. Due to the difficult (very steep) site my husband and I selected, we encountered more problems than usual during the construction process. Jordan, his project manager, and the subcontractors involved all maintained the highest level of integrity, professionalism, and even a good attitude through everything. Jordan has a knack for surrounding himself with good people, and that pays off. We really enjoyed the design/build process and would love to build another house with Team JISH.

Jordon and his team are very well-respected within the building community, as well as in the real estate community. His designs are current and reflect his interest in using materials in innovative ways. His team is responsive, efficient and courteous...and, of course, talented!

Jordan and his team did an amazing job on our pool house remodel!! He turned our vision into reality.. We loved all his ideas for this space and can't wait to have other rooms in the house updated by Jordan. We would highly recommend Jordan Iverson Signature Homes.

Jordan took on a very challenging renovation. He was tasked with taking a completely "traditional", nineties style home and adding a modern touch to the entire space. I'm sure most of his clients know EXACTLY what they want, but I was not one of them. I had complete faith in his sense of style and gave him carte blanche with the space. It turned out beautifully and I couldn't be happier with the end result! With any renovation there are always little things that need to be addressed after move-in. Jordan was more concerned than I was about making everything "right". Jordan has also assembled a dedicated, talented team that is easy to work with, polite and just as committed as he is to doing things the right way.
