This beautiful home in Westfield, NJ needed a little front porch TLC. Anthony James Master builders came in and secured the structure by replacing the old columns with brand new custom columns. The team created custom screens for the side porch area creating two separate spaces that can be enjoyed throughout the warmer and cooler New Jersey months.

Gable screen porch with tile floor and low maintenance handrail. Porch features T&G ceiling and pvc wrapped columns and beam. Deck below is a watertight deck with T&G ceiling and pvc wrapped columns. Columns also feature a stone base with flagstone cap. The outdoor living spaced is made complete with a new paver patio that extends below the deck and beyond.

Inspiration for a large transitional stone front porch remodel in Atlanta with a roof extension

The shape of the angled porch-roof, sets the tone for a truly modern entryway. This protective covering makes a dramatic statement, as it hovers over the front door. The blue-stone terrace conveys even more interest, as it gradually moves upward, morphing into steps, until it reaches the porch. Porch Detail The multicolored tan stone, used for the risers and retaining walls, is proportionally carried around the base of the house. Horizontal sustainable-fiber cement board replaces the original vertical wood siding, and widens the appearance of the facade. The color scheme — blue-grey siding, cherry-wood door and roof underside, and varied shades of tan and blue stone — is complimented by the crisp-contrasting black accents of the thin-round metal columns, railing, window sashes, and the roof fascia board and gutters. This project is a stunning example of an exterior, that is both asymmetrical and symmetrical. Prior to the renovation, the house had a bland 1970s exterior. Country beige tiny house idea in Atlanta

This timber column porch replaced a small portico. It features a 7.5' x 24' premium quality pressure treated porch floor. Porch beam wraps, fascia, trim are all cedar. A shed-style, standing seam metal roof is featured in a burnished slate color. The porch also includes a ceiling fan and recessed lighting.

The covered porch in this project was renovated to update it's look. The existing tapered columns were replaced with these more contemporary-in-style versions...they are clean and simple which leaves the focus on the new Douglas Fir Arts-and-Crafts front entry door with side lights. The door has a beautifully rich custom stain that was also applied to the cedar tongue and groove ceiling that we installed.

Front Porch: We were able to remove the railings completely which significantly opened up the space. Column bases at corners and along front steps are stone veneer, which anchor 100% solid cedar columns. Aluminum and vinyl-covered beams were demo'd back to framing materials, then wrapped with stained cedar. Custom wrought iron railings would be fabricated and installed along the front steps. The custom metal railings surround the wrap-around back porch.. The effect is massively beautiful and an excellent complement to a beautiful home and property.
