The pergola was designed to have decorative privacy screens installed in the future. We installed synthetic turf between the pool and the raised deck for the kids to have a tumbling area. Great lounging area to enjoy the s'mores too!

Located in stylish Chelsea, this updated five-floor townhouse incorporates both a bold, modern aesthetic and sophisticated, polished taste. Palettes range from vibrant and playful colors in the family and kids’ spaces to softer, rich tones in the master bedroom and formal dining room. DHD interiors embraced the client’s adventurous taste, incorporating dynamic prints and striking wallpaper into each room, and a stunning floor-to-floor stair runner. Lighting became one of the most crucial elements as well, as ornate vintage fixtures and eye-catching sconces are featured throughout the home. This kitchen's black and white color palette, industrial light fixtures and the owners' unique decorating style combine to striking effect. The kitchen was opened up to the dining area to create better flow in the home's interior, and new french patio doors connect it to the outdoors.

The homeowners loved the character of their 100-year-old home near Lake Harriet, but the original layout no longer supported their busy family’s modern lifestyle. When they contacted the architect, they had a simple request: remodel our master closet. This evolved into a complete home renovation that took three-years of meticulous planning and tactical construction. The completed home demonstrates the overall goal of the remodel: historic inspiration with modern luxuries.
