A thoughtful blended design created a young man’s space to sleep, get ready, gaming, recording, and enjoy having friends over. The design included a recording room with soundproof wall layers of drywall, QT Sound Control Underlayment, and drywall finish layer.

When a soft contemporary style meets artistic-minded homeowners, the result is this exquisite dwelling in Corona del Mar from Brandon Architects and Patterson Custom Homes. Complete with curated paintings and an art studio, the 4,300-square-foot residence utilizes Western Window Systems’ Series 600 Multi-Slide doors and windows to blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces. This client had a stained concrete floor in their lower level. She had originally started working with a box store. They delivered a non waterproof laminate flooring, did minimal prep, explained product had failures, and cancelled her project. I helped her re-select a budget friendly waterproof Shaw luxury vinyl plank (lvp) as a replacement. We upgraded to noise reduction under layment. This product was installed in her finished lower level.

This urban courtyard uses a variable speed pool pump which allows the waterfall to flow from a slight trickle to a loud, splashing, noise-cancelling waterfall.
