This previously unused attic space is now a sauna/yoga room. The left sauna wall follows the attic rafters down diagonally to allow a wider space for leg room on the twin sauna benches.

There were several levels of pools that were all part of the main pool. Every detail had to be considered from flow rates to capacity of pools to volume of over all water. Water in motion is so important in designing and planning a feature like this.

Standing on the balcony off the home owners bedroom, we get a view of the lounging area with the large umbrella. Limestone steppingstones create a nice transition from gravel pathway to limestone lounging patio. Beech hedge separates the spaces, and hides the storage and utility areas.

We utilized the unused end of this odd-shaped patio with a hanging twin-sized porch swing. This unexpected feature is the star of the whole patio! Custom cushions and pillows in fabrics that coordinate with the rest of the furnishings tie the whole space together. Fresh white paint and new lighting make the low ceiling lighter and brighter.

A garden pond with koi fish is fed from a waterfall that cascades down the natural slope. Stone stairs lead to the upper garden.

Materials on spa include travertine 2x4 subway tile on exterior sides in Antico, 1x1 travertine tile in Antico on spillway and waterline, travertine pencil trim in Antico, cantilever coping with rock salt finish, and PebbleTec PebbleSheen in Aqua Blue.

The ground floor volumes wrapped in an elongated hand-fired brick, emphasizing the horizontality of the architecture that lays solidly on the land.
