The Homeowner custom cut/finished a butcher block top (at the same thickness (1") of the granite counter-top), to be placed on the farm sink which increased the amount of available space to fold laundry, etc.
Note: the faucet merely swings out of the way.
2nd note: a square butcher block of the proper desired length and width and thickness can be purchased online, and then finished (round the corners to proper radius of Farm Sink corners, finish with several coats of clear coat polyurethane), as the homeowner did.

This interior door model would be a perfect fit as a swing, pocket, bypass, bi-fold or barn door.
In certain ancient cultures, a single vertical band of light was used to represent unflagging wisdom, keen discernment, and impeccable logic; a voice of reason shining through the fog of muddled circumstances. Listen, my friend, it seems to say, do not let external influences cloud your judgment. Any smoke-and-mirrors scheme must leave you unimpressed. No amount of honey-tongued poppycock can distract you, nor make you deviate from the path of your choosing. You are in control of the situation, and your decisions are solid because they are entirely your own, based on your experience and your ability to tell the difference between truth and falsehood. Pretty cool, isn’t it? The sheer elegance of this interior door is quite something.

Today we are featuring another D77 Project by Tim and Camet Runkel at Beautiful Brush Works! I am always excited to share with you about the endless possibilities of Design 7 Seven Acrylic Glaze.
Wow, another beautiful performance from Design 7 Seven Glaze! This 2 tone metallic finish was achieved using a small portion of D77 in my metallics, only about 20% and a splash of water and then worked lightly with tools to erase work lines. Used the D77 in both the Silver base layer and in the golden bronze top layer, and. Voila ! it looks sprayed. The D77 absolutely made this possible, because it gave me the ability to soften the metallic work lines and work from one section into another and then gel out to a flawless finish! I've never used anything like it. I love being able to use products to glaze with that normally dry so quickly that they are difficult to glaze with. Such as Metallics, acrylic stains, acrylic polyurethanes lime products, and many art acrylics. And D77 is phenomenal in metallics! You don’t have to dilute the metallic with glaze so much that it requires many layers to achieve the metallic luster. I even use a small amount in my clear acrylic top coats to have time to work the product over the surface, and increase the dry time a small amount to allow it to level to a rich, smooth, even, finish.
Thank You so much for this wonder Glaze!!
Tim & Camet Runkel,
Beautiful Brushworks

This project was to furnishing a newly constructed home – the living room specifically. The clients wanted an open-concept home in order to best utilize the space for everyday living, as well as entertaining. The goals of this project were to 1) maximize the space for the largest amount of seating, 2) present a transitional design style, mixing both traditional and modern elements, ensuring that the style mixes well with the other aspects of the open concept floorplan, and 3) provide a pleasant color palette. We designed the overall floorplan so that it provided maximum seating (potential for 14), while still providing a spacious ambiance. The U-shaped seating design in the room provides the ability for people to view the television from any seat and feel the warmth from the fireplace while also allowing for great conversational seating. The custom storage ottomans are on casters, so they can be pulled out to provide additional seating or a comfortable footrest for any seat. Upon entering the room, your eye can catch several different design features – the custom triptych artwork, the gold-framed mirrors, or even the split face quartz fireplace wall - each providing their own balanced focal point in the room. The main obstacle was balancing the focal point in the room between the fireplace and oversized television. The TV niche that was placed by the builder caused the seating arrangement to be somewhat offset in the space.

Love a warm floor that is comfortable to walk on, but think carpet is the only option? Or are you in search of an alternative to carpet without losing a soft warm floor beneath your feet. Look to cork then for the answer. The thermal insulating properties of cork makes it one of the best natural insulators. So a cork floor surface acts like a carpeted surface, by being warm to the touch, just without the coarse hairs. Because of this capability you can still run around on bare feet, even on cold winter mornings. Because cork is not the same as its hardwood cousins, you get a material that has a certain amount of give to it. Like memory foam, cork is made up of a cellular structure that incorporates millions upon millions of airtight cells. These cells give cork the ability to compress under pressure and regain its shape. So you get a softer surface to walk upon that will actually provide support for your feet and back. Ideal for the kitchen or home gym

Decorative beams made of quarter sawn Mahogany were designed to define the rooms and bring character to the ceiling. We concealed the building's concrete support beams cladding them in the same rich wood as the ceiling beams. The cleverly designed TV enclosure conceals another support beam in it's center post. Carrying the Mahogany detail into the kitchen gave us the ability to beautifully fill the space above the cabinets and continue the natural wood look reminiscent of wood deck sailing vessels giving a nod to the nautical location of the condo. Oversized Mahogany doors and casements help to complete the look.
The limestone floor was special ordered directly from the quarry to insure the least amount of artifact inclusions. Creating a flawless refined appearance.
To prevent fading from the wonderful wash of sunlight flooding through wall to ceiling windows, we tinted the windows and covered the sofa in indoor/outdoor Perennial fabric known for it's versatility and its resistance to stains, fading, and damage.
