Our recent customer in Frisco came to us with a challenge and we definitely accepted! We designed and helped turn their plain backyard into an outdoor living and entertainment dream. To begin, we had to remove the middle pillar on the existing patio cover and installed a new beam to support the roof line. We poured the concrete to build the basketball court, installed the basketball goal, and added finishing touches like black Tejas Rock along the back of the property line. We continued by installing synthetic turf throughout the backyard. We also designed and installed the Putting Green. To add to this entertainment oasis, we built a Pergola and privacy wall for the hot tub area and created a decomposed granite walkway to the front driveway.

Set amongst a splendid display of forty-one oaks, the design for this family residence demanded an intimate knowledge and respectful acceptance of the trees as the indigenous inhabitants of the space. Crafted from this symbiotic relationship, the architecture found natural placement in the beautiful spaces between the forty-one, acknowledging their presence and pedagogy. Conceived as a series of interconnected pavilions, the home hovers slightly above the native grasslands as it settles down amongst the oaks. Broad overhanging flat plate roofs cantilever out, connecting indoor living space to the nature beyond. Large windows are strategically placed to capture views of particularly well-sculptured trees, and enhance the connection of the grove and the home to the valley surround.

Coastal Shingle Style on St. Andrew Bay Private Residence / Panama City Beach, Florida Architect: Eric Watson Builder: McIntosh-Myers Construction For this lovely Coastal Shingle–style home, E. F. San Juan supplied Loewen impact-rated windows and doors, E. F. San Juan Invincia® impact-rated custom mahogany entry doors, exterior board-and-batten siding, exterior shingles, and exterior trim and millwork. We also supplied all the interior doors, stair parts, paneling, mouldings, and millwork. Challenges: At over 10,000 square feet, the sheer size of this home—coupled with the extensive amount of materials we produced and provided—made for a great scheduling challenge. Another significant challenge for the E. F. San Juan team was the homeowner’s desire for an electronic locking system on numerous Invincia® doors we custom manufactured for the home. This was a first-time request for us, but a challenge we gladly accepted! Solution: We worked closely with the builder, Cliff Myers of McIntosh-Myers Construction, as well as the architect, Eric Watson, to ensure the timeliness of decisions as they related to the home’s critical production timeline. We also worked closely with our design engineer and the home’s engineer of record, Allen Barnes of Apex Engineering Group, to provide a solution that allowed for an electronic lock on our custom Invincia® mahogany doors. As a rural and tightly-knit community, the City of Lovington is characterized by its agriculture and small-city charm. The new fire station offered a unique opportunity to provide an eye-catching landmark for the city that embodies the city’s progressive attitude towards public services. The 9,589 sf facility was designed to accommodate the city’s new arsenal of fire trucks and EMS vehicles, while providing comfortable living spaces that encourage team-building and a sense of brotherhood. Spaces with the facility include dorm rooms, a day room, a kitchen, a training room, a fitness room and apparatus bays with associated spaces.

Main Line Kitchen Design has a different business model than other kitchen showrooms, designers, and cabinetry dealers. Kitchen construction is often better organized and generally costs less. This is because we recommend general contractors free of charge. They supervise construction from scheduling to completion. This eliminates a middleman, reduces delays, and eliminates the fees that almost all showrooms and home centers charge their customers. We are also happy to work with any contractor a customer finds on their own. If we haven’t worked with that contractor before they may need more of our direction, but both companies can benefit from working together and possibly referring each other in the future. Less problems arise, and if they do, they are handled more quickly. This is because every kitchen we sell is reviewed by at least 3 kitchen designers during the ordering process. Our Operations Manager Ed Sossich checks orders and schedules all warehouse and home deliveries. Our delivery manager Mark Mitten supervises every delivery and checks in each cabinet and part. And our CRM system, Monday, prompts each person responsible for each phase of a customer’s kitchen with automated alerts.
