A custom storage wall with a variety of storage accessories (not shown) for storing common household goods and tools, including garden hoses, work tools, lawn chairs, sports equipment and more. Four base cabinets and a stack of drawers create a work surface while also providing additional, concealed storage capacity.

This ocean-front shingled Gambrel style house is home to a young family with little kids who lead an active, outdoor lifestyle. My goal was to create a bespoke, colorful and eclectic interior that looked sophisticated and fresh, but that was tough enough to withstand salt, sand and wet kids galore. The palette of coral and blue is an obvious choice, but we tried to translate it into a less expected, slightly updated way, hence the front door! Liberal use of indoor-outdoor fabrics created a seamless appearance while preserving the utility needed for this full time seaside residence.

Homeowners with kids and active life wanting progressive style to facilitate outdoor living. We fused the traditional neighborhood and home style with a contemporary feel offering an upscale, clean, defined look and the result was awesome!
Landscape Architect and Landscape Designer Values:
Any given Landscape Architect or Landscape Designer may have a different approach, but Landscape Designer and Landscape Contractor, Brett Berry of Berry Outdoor Living creates living areas that feel connected to the home. As a Landscape Designer and Landscape Contractor working with a Landscape Architect, we try to create the space so it feels relaxed. It should feel like it's been in place with the home for years and not an "add-on".
As a Landscape Contractor that merges old and new construction into the landscape design, the goal is to build a space people want to spend time, whether at the bar of the outdoor kitchen, fire pit, patio, or covered porch. When a space becomes a large part of the homeowners' daily life, a Landscape Architect or Landscape Designer, or Landscape Contractor, knows a project has been completed with excellence. I work closely with a Landscape Architect through the design process to ensure the space has the correct "feel".
A Landscape Architect and Landscape Designer must design the space to flow from the inside of the home out. The patio and outdoor living space feels like an extension of the home, or another "room" of the home and feels wrapped with fresh, low-maintenance landscaping.
In Kansas City patio, and landscaping design, there is a clear trend toward a cleaner, more defined look influenced by a more modern era viewpoint that values a non-cluttered look and feel. So, as a Landscape Contractor, in our circle of clients, we've seen a definite shift toward cleaner, artisan-crafted backyards and fewer "boxy", shrub-heavy yards. A Landscape Architect with a keen sense designs this effect.

Every window by ActivWall is custom designed for the customer and manufactured in Martinsville, Virginia. This window for The Daisy measures 5′ wide by 3′ high and is finished in a white powder coat with a flush style sill.
American engineered hinges and motion hardware allow for the smooth operation of this window, and the thermally broken aluminum and dual-paned low-E glass make the product extremely energy efficient.

In the Daisy’s kitchen, you’ll find open shelving, a smooth surface cooktop, pop-up ventilation, hickory cabinets with black walnut countertops, and a 33-inch stainless steel sink with a hands-free kitchen faucet.
Over the sink, a three-panel ActivWall Horizontal Folding Window (also known as a bi-fold window) is mounted to open up the space, let in the fresh air, and serve as a pass-through window.

These homeowners are ready for college football season with the addition of an ActivWall Gas Strut Window on their deck. The innovative window opens up and out to create a convenient pass-through and serving bar for game day entertaining.
Hosts can set out appetizers and drinks on the bar for guests to enjoy and pass through ingredients and supplies for the nearby grill. The window creates a flexible space, allowing guests inside and outside the home to converse and enjoy each other’s company while eating and watching the game on TV.
When the game day is over, the ActivWall Gas Strut Window can be pushed closed from the outside or closed from the inside using our optional Pull Hook.

The stunning renovation was led by Innovative Homes & Remodeling and Jennie Thomas Design, both of Zionsville, Indiana. They expanded their vision to include the outdoors when transforming the home’s small U-shaped kitchen and rarely-used dining room into a large open concept space.
The kitchen’s back wall is adjacent to a screened porch, so the team replaced the existing window with an ActivWall Gas Strut Window. It opens up and out to create a serving bar and allows for conversation between the two spaces.

The owners of this New York pool cabana worked with ROAM Architecture to design a versatile space for cooking, grilling, dining, watching TV, and relaxing. They reached out to ActivWall to custom manufacture several products for the cabana, including Horizontal Folding Doors, Gas Strut Windows, and Fixed Panels to complete the 500 square foot space. The owner of this home in Texas used an ActivWall Gas Strut Window to open up their home bar to the covered back patio for entertaining.
The custom window measures 78″ wide by 48″ high and is finished in a white powder coat with matching hardware. The customer chose our no-sill option for a smooth countertop transition, one of six sill options available.
The thermally broken aluminum frame and insulated glass provide maximum energy efficiency when closed, and the unit can be opened on nice days to create a convenient pass-through window for serving drinks.
ActivWall Gas Strut Windows are available for commercial and residential use.
