What a fun room for a little boy! Our team decided on a camping theme for this little one complete with a tent bed and an airplane overhead. Custom green built in cabinets provide the perfect reading nook before bedtime. Relaxed bedding and lots of pillows add a cozy feel, along with whimsical animal artwork and masculine touches such as the cowhide rug, camp lantern and rustic wooden night table. The khaki tent bed anchors the room and provides lots of inspiration for creative play, while the punches of bright green add excitement and contrast.

Do you want to update your Living Room but cannot part with your Favorite Traditional Style Piece of furniture?
No problem! We'll show you how to blend them together!
**UPDATE** We also work with clients all over the country! Our virtual designers have experience as local and long distance design consultants. Our designers offer professional fabric and design recommendations, free estimates and have a great ability to communicate via email or phone to help conceptualize the project and see it through to the final stages. Fabric samples are mailed directly to you and we also provide easy installation guides.
We like this design because it is updating a traditional home into more of a "contemporary" look. There's a fine line when trying to accomplish this. You want the updated look to not compete with the traditional architecture of the home or an existing traditional piece of furniture that you may still want to reuse.
The living room was updated with the use of white drapery sheers and metal 1/2" blinds. The metal was tied into the space by the new coffee table, end table and metal framed art. The traditional end chair in the plaid fabric was an original piece. The chair needed help blending into the space. To accomplish this, the paisley pillows were added to the new sofa. In addition, the storage basket and rug adds a traditional-style flare to the room so the chair doesn't feel like the only traditional piece in the room.
It's also worth mentioning that the paisley fabric in the pillows have a curvature to them which is why the wave printed draperies were used.

Why Choose Us?
We have been in business since November 1998 and started in the window covering business by cleaning & repairing blinds. This gave us a unique perspective from most window covering dealers. We have always considered how well products hold up and which manufacturers stand behind their products the best. We let our clients know the benefits of more expensive products and give honest feedback. We take pride in showing alternative products to fit all budgets.
Our great testimonials on Angie’s List, Houzz.com and referrals have helped our company grow without the need for “conventional” advertising. Abda means ‘servant’. At Abda, we approach every customer with a servant’s attitude. This philosophy has helped our customers feel confident in their purchases and well-taken care of. Our number one focus is customer service and we believe in putting the customer’s needs first. We offer our clients an additional 2 year warranty on top of the manufacturer’s warranty and want each and every client to be completely happy with their purchase. We’ve been awarded the prestigious 2013 Angie’s List Super Service Award, an honor bestowed annually on approximately 5 percent of all the businesses rated on the nation’s leading provider of consumer reviews. We’ve grown over the years and have added more team members to our company and we’re very excited at the direction our company is going.

When a young professional couple approached us to decorate the main floor of their brand new modern townhouse in Port Coquitlam, we were very excited. Having moved from a Gastown condo, the couple was eager to infuse this suburban location with a funky yet sophisticated downtown vibe. They were also looking for a neutral backdrop with some hits of colour and asked us to incorporate wallpaper. The statement artwork that we selected above the fireplace set the tone for this project. We started with a pair of sleek neutral leather sofas to maximize seating in the small living space and layered them with a variety of toss pillows in blues, teals & turquoise then added a few pops of orange. We defined the front entrance and dining area with a stunning marbleized grey and white wallpaper by Graham and Brown. The dark wood furniture in the dining area adds contrast and sophistication balancing the dark stained kitchen cabinets opposite. The resulting look is clean, modern and playful. Mahogany Double Doors with Copper. Boulder CO
It is always exciting to find a balance in double doors between curves and straight lines. Not all the doors are equal in width, adding to its unique nature. Each door is a sculpture within itself.

MA Peterson took an old concrete basement and turned it into a space filled with excitement and beauty. It started by relocating most of the mechanicals and appliances, and lowering the floor to add radiant heat in a new concrete slab. Next, a central wall was removed to open the space for a large family room and a steel beam was added for structural support. We filled in an old fireplace as well as old windows and added a larger window to allow natural light to pour in.
The Hubbardton Forge pendants in the family room are made of cork and are suspended over a custom-made stadium table, which was finished with four custom made barstools, complete with custom upholstery fabric for the seats and the U of M logo laser-inscribed into the backrest.
With a TV wall complete with three televisions for watching multiple games at once, a professional sound and light system, you can’t miss any play in this entertainment space!

Here is a far shot of the beam screens and context photo for them. The various levels are more evident as you walk through the garden and pan through these garden photos. One difficult spot was keeping the back hot tub walls from getting too tall but being able to form a vault for the hot tub beneath the deck. I was excited about my design for the floating steps up from the hot tub, to serve as lounge bench seating with the back of the BBQ plinth acting as privacy as well as the back of the bench and steps. The planters add green and another seating perch and deal with the grading levels I mentioned in other photos.
