Clients lakefront home stairs and boardwalk needed multiple repars and upgrades. We replaced several sections of stairs and areas of the boardwalk. We also added access from the boardwalk to a sitting area firepit above the boat dock, We designed and built a set of winder stairs to maintain the flow of the entire recreation area. This Leander, TX, deck is built of AZEK decking in Hazelwood and the trim is built using Morado, both from AZEK’s Arbor Collection. The railing is beautiful black gloss Fortress iron railing which compliments and contrasts the neutral tones of the decking perfectly. The skirting on the perimeter of the deck was completed in Hardie board and painted to match the colors of the existing home. We took the design a step further by adding concrete pads at the base of the stairs to avoid a slippery surface and to reduce the debris that is tracked onto the deck from the backyard.

This new Huber Heights home was devoid of any sort of outdoor living accommodations. The blank slate backyard space left a lot of room for vision and leaves more room for improvement after this deck was completed.

Most porch additions look like an "after-thought" and detract from the better thought-out design of a home. The design of the porch followed by the gracious materials and proportions of this Georgian-style home. The brick is left exposed and we brought the outside in with wood ceilings. The porch has craftsman-style finished and high quality carpet perfect for outside weathering conditions.
The space includes a dining area and seating area to comfortably entertain in a comfortable environment with crisp cool breezes from multiple ceiling fans.
Love porch life at it's best!

Location: McLean, VA, USA
Our newest custom modern home, located in the heart of McLean, Virginia measures just over 8,700 square feet.
Situated on a beautiful lot on Old Chesterbrook Road, the modern home design takes advantage of the lot’s natural contours and sight-lines. Spread throughout three levels, the home contains five bedrooms, six full bathrooms, one half-bath, and a three-car garage.
The main level of our modern home design features an open-floor plan designed to entertain family and friends. The entry flows into both the grand dining room and the central area, dedicated to the kitchen, breakfast and a double height great room that opens to a large outdoor deck with picturesque views of the expansive backyard. Located just off the garage is a functional mudroom that features plenty of storage space. In addition to a large home office and powder room, the entire left wing is dedicated to a private master suite with an expansive custom his/her walk-in closet, a master bath with a rainfall shower and a free-standing soaking tub with his/her vanities.
The upper level of our modern home design features three generously sized en-suite bedrooms with full baths and closets with a full-size laundry room with plenty of storage space.
The lower level of our modern home design also features an en-suite guest bedroom with full bath and walk-in closets amenities. It also includes an expansive recreational room with a glass enclosed wine cellar to house your prized wine collection. To finish out the lower level, we added a full exercise room paired with a full bath with direct access to the outdoor terrace and complimented the house with plenty of storage space.
The materials we used for our modern home design are of the highest quality brands. We wanted to hand-select materials that would last for years to come, require little to no maintenance, and compliment the modern aesthetic of the home. The home features aluminum-clad oversized windows, Nichiha rectangular siding, and brick with a pastel finish; all brought together under a vacation style hip roof.
Overall, we wanted to create a modern home design that feels like a retreat but still offers all the required amenities a family needs to keep up with the fast pace of Northern Virginia.

This drought tolerant front yard was a great addition to this property. There are decomposed granite paths, CA native / CA friendly plans, a dry creek bed and a bridge that leads to the secret garden.

We enjoyed designing this beautiful, multi-faceted set of outdoor living spaces in Kildeer, IL. The screen porch is a fantastic transition from home to outdoors. The TimberTech deck in Tropical Walnut and Uniloc paver patio with a fire pit create the perfect space for entertaining or simply enjoying the outdoors. We are very proud of this award-winning design that encompassed all aspects of this family’s outdoor life with the benefit of low maintenance materials.

This spectacular new beach kitchen was designed for an older couple with the love of the water in mind. The house is not large but the client wanted the kitchen area to be the main aspect of the design and to be comfortable and serene. The windows were optimized for the maximum view from the eat in kitchen area. The large island was designed for grandchildren to enjoy and to use for buffet dining when cooking outside. The laundry also is a “prep” kitchen that has an additional refrigerator and is where small appliances are stored on the counter to keep the main kitchen counters clutter free.
The client asked for a fun seaside kitchen with a neutral backdrop of cabinetry so she could showcase her colorful accessories. We chose classic white cabinetry to complement the maple floors and selected soft white for the wall color to keep harmony with the incredible views. She wanted a no fuss kitchen with lots of counterspace for multiple cooks when her adult kids came to visit. Her husband requested a no or low maintenance countertop as well so we chose a ceasarstone top that mimics traditional carerra marble but without the associated issues with marble tops. To emphasize the beach living atmosphere, we chose a glass that has a slight frosted wave in it and then turned it sideways instead of the traditional vertical application. The knobs and handles are a mix of traditional and modern and are satin nickel to match the sink and faucet and appliances. In addition to the large laundry space, one wall is dedicated to storage and features pullout drawers and houses the microwave as well. Small details such as the open shelf under the upper cabinets to showcase colorful pottery and the wine grid help give some dimension the upper cabinetry.

How to fit everything into a small back yard....Pool, entertaining and animal accommodation. Additionally our client wanted low maintenance low maintenance and a year round landscape. The artificial turf was an excellent choice for both low maintenance and pet friendly. To keep small areas of turf in pristine condition provided the conditions is highly unlikely, so the artificial turf was an obvious choice.
