This Guest Bedroom / Bathroom found inspiration in white! by repainting the existing brown paneling with glossy white we created a fresh and airy space. Unusually scaled twin beds, float in the center of the room allowing a unique spot for conversation as well as sleeping. Dramatic light fixtures, textural sisal and art complete the simple yet interesting space. Photographer-Janet Mesic Mackie

One of the main features of the space is the natural lighting. The windows allow someone to feel they are in their own private oasis. The wide plank European oak floors, with a brushed finish, contribute to the warmth felt in this bathroom, along with warm neutrals, whites and grays. The counter tops are a stunning Calcatta Latte marble as is the basket weaved shower floor, 1x1 square mosaics separating each row of the large format, rectangular tiles, also marble. Lighting is key in any bathroom and there is more than sufficient lighting provided by Ralph Lauren, by Circa Lighting. Classic, custom designed cabinetry optimizes the space by providing plenty of storage for toiletries, linens and more. Holger Obenaus Photography did an amazing job capturing this light filled and luxurious master bathroom. Built by Novella Homes and designed by Lorraine G Vale

As seen in this photo, the front to back view offers homeowners and guests alike a direct view and access to the deck off the back of the house. In addition to holding access to the garage, this space holds two closets. One, the homeowners are using as a coat closest and the other, a pantry closet. You also see a custom built in unit with a bench and storage. There is also access to a powder room, a bathroom that was relocated from middle of the 1st floor layout. Relocating the bathroom allowed us to open up the floor plan, offering a view directly into and out of the playroom and dining room.

The main bath pays homage to the historical style of the original house. Classic elements like marble mosaics and a black and white theme will be timeless for years to come. Aligning all plumbing elements on one side of the room allows for a more spacious flow.

Soft blue color palette, reminiscence of the snow just outside the window. The blue provides a nice contrast to the rest of the home.
Wood-clad walls were unchanged by the design team. We love the rustic, natural element that is original to the home. The wood walls throughout the home add so much character – they’re great. Custom built-in bunks were designed by the LU design team. Even though this cabin is small, it sleeps a lot! Designers kept this in mind, maximizing the amount of guest that could stay here.
