The Gama Sonic Imperial Bulb Solar Lamp Post GS-97B-S features an attractive traditional design inspired by 19th-century gas lanterns. Installation takes minutes and comes with all necessary hardware needed for mounting this unit, including eagle and acorn finial accessory options. Stylish and easy to install, this solar fixture is the perfect energy and money saving replacement for electric or gas-powered outdoor lighting
Standing 101-inches tall, the Imperial Bulb is constructed of weather-resistant, rust-resistant cast aluminum with a powder-coated black finish and mitered glass panes. This series incorporates our cutting-edge GS solar LED light Bulb technology and provides 360-degree illumination. At dusk, the solar light automatically turns on and provides a brightness of 180 lumens in a warm white (2700K) color temperature for up to 12 hours on a full charge. No electrical wiring is needed for installation. Just place this solar light in a spot with ample direct sunshine and let the sun do the rest.

The original house which was located here had been in the family for several decades, used as a summer house and then altered to have another rental unit below. A family member then took on the task of renovating this house, originally the design process included saving the existing building due to location issues, however it was then allowed to be built completely new which then put it under new guidelines to raise it out of any potential high water zones. The new house borrowed the compact gambrel roof lines from the original Beach bungalow. However this historic family home took advantage of all views and solar exposure. The new layout features a one story, 3 bedroom unit on the garden level with a 2 story, 3 bedroom unit above it so all the relatives can stay together. The goal was to provide a flexible and energy efficient design with ample light and cross ventilation for all bedrooms.

The clients had a spec kitchen with a shelf life that was about to expire. They wanted a designer kitchen to entertain friends and family which the builder spec layout couldn't support. Our goal was to create an open kitchen which doubled as a social hub while keeping a minimal look.
We got rid of the U-shaped layout in favor of a one wall galley kitchen with an over-sized island and main appliances along one wall for line efficiency. To stay within a minimal look and feel, instead of using wall cabinets for glasses, plates, etc, we housed everything within drawers along the 8ft island which created a perfect synergy of prep, cooking and serving. To create additional storage that wouldn't impact the flow, we recessed a cabinet into the wall with sliding doors for cooking essentials and wine glass storage. To maintain a minimal look, we chose a design with integrated hardware instead of the norm applied knobs and pulls.
By re-configuring the kitchen, it not only created an efficient cooking zone, but delineated the space between service and entertainment. The island now comfortably seats 4 with ample standing room and clearances for several more. Despite the kitchens minimalist look, carefully planning out where utensils, plates, pots and pans were placed efficiently maximized the storage.

A new and improved kitchen layout that is perfect for this young family of four. With ample storage in the kitchen island and upper cabinets, we were able to keep the design low-maintenance and easy to keep clean, as clutter would have taken away from the light and airy aesthetic. A light gray kitchen island and subway tile backsplash paired with the bright white countertops and cabinets gave the space a refreshing contemporary look. Darker gray contrasts with the lighter color palette through the stainless steel appliances and unique pendant lights.
To the corner of the kitchen, you'll find a discreet built-in study. Fully equipped for those who work from home or for the children to finish school projects. This small office-kitchen space duo is perfect for bringing the whole family together, for meals and throughout the day.

7RR-Ecohome:
The design objective was to build a house for a couple recently married who both had kids from previous marriages. How to bridge two families together?
The design looks forward in terms of how people live today. The home is an experiment in transparency and solid form; removing borders and edges from outside to inside the house, and to really depict “flowing and endless space”. The house floor plan is derived by pushing and pulling the house’s form to maximize the backyard and minimize the public front yard while welcoming the sun in key rooms by rotating the house 45-degrees to true north. The angular form of the house is a result of the family’s program, the zoning rules, the lot’s attributes, and the sun’s path. We wanted to construct a house that is smart and efficient in terms of construction and energy, both in terms of the building and the user. We could tell a story of how the house is built in terms of the constructability, structure and enclosure, with a nod to Japanese wood construction in the method in which the siding is installed and the exposed interior beams are placed in the double height space. We engineered the house to be smart which not only looks modern but acts modern; every aspect of user control is simplified to a digital touch button, whether lights, shades, blinds, HVAC, communication, audio, video, or security. We developed a planning module based on a 6-foot square room size and a 6-foot wide connector called an interstitial space for hallways, bathrooms, stairs and mechanical, which keeps the rooms pure and uncluttered. The house is 6,200 SF of livable space, plus garage and basement gallery for a total of 9,200 SF. A large formal foyer celebrates the entry and opens up to the living, dining, kitchen and family rooms all focused on the rear garden. The east side of the second floor is the Master wing and a center bridge connects it to the kid’s wing on the west. Second floor terraces and sunscreens provide views and shade in this suburban setting. The playful mathematical grid of the house in the x, y and z axis also extends into the layout of the trees and hard-scapes, all centered on a suburban one-acre lot.
Many green attributes were designed into the home; Ipe wood sunscreens and window shades block out unwanted solar gain in summer, but allow winter sun in. Patio door and operable windows provide ample opportunity for natural ventilation throughout the open floor plan. Minimal windows on east and west sides to reduce heat loss in winter and unwanted gains in summer. Open floor plan and large window expanse reduces lighting demands and maximizes available daylight. Skylights provide natural light to the basement rooms. Durable, low-maintenance exterior materials include stone, ipe wood siding and decking, and concrete roof pavers. Design is based on a 2' planning grid to minimize construction waste. Basement foundation walls and slab are highly insulated. FSC-certified walnut wood flooring was used. Light colored concrete roof pavers to reduce cooling loads by as much as 15%. 2x6 framing allows for more insulation and energy savings. Super efficient windows have low-E argon gas filled units, and thermally insulated aluminum frames. Permeable brick and stone pavers reduce the site’s storm-water runoff. Countertops use recycled composite materials. Energy-Star rated furnaces and smart thermostats are located throughout the house to minimize duct runs and avoid energy loss. Energy-Star rated boiler that heats up both radiant floors and domestic hot water. Low-flow toilets and plumbing fixtures are used to conserve water usage. No VOC finish options and direct venting fireplaces maintain a high interior air quality. Smart home system controls lighting, HVAC, and shades to better manage energy use. Plumbing runs through interior walls reducing possibilities of heat loss and freezing problems. A large food pantry was placed next to kitchen to reduce trips to the grocery store. Home office reduces need for automobile transit and associated CO2 footprint. Plan allows for aging in place, with guest suite than can become the master suite, with no need to move as family members mature.

Columbus Design-Build, Kitchen & Bath Remodeling, Historic Renovations

The owners of this 1980’s built-home wanted to create a completely new look for their outdated master bath and turned to Renovisions for design and build services. Having perused Renovisions website, they were confident they made the right choice to help them transform their ordinary space into something truly extraordinary. The design team created several configurations for the homeowners review until they nailed down one particular design that would create that wow factor.
The main challenges were creating an open, spacious feel and maximizing natural light and ventilation with plenty of storage and customizations. The addition of a second window allows ample light into the space throughout the day along with the recessed and sconce lights which were perfectly placed. Storage, which was a key element of this design, includes two separate vanity cabinets (his and hers) with plenty of space for needed toiletries, a matching framed medicine cabinet for her and a custom built cubby for him. Built on site was a linen closet with both roll out and stationary shelves for towels and shower supplies. The spacious walk-in, all tiled shower boasts ‘no door’ access with lineal drain, traditional fixed and hand-held shower heads and a rounded shower seat. Polished black granite was used inside the cubby and topping both the threshold and seat creating a nice contrast to and tying in with the floor. The decorative grab bar ensures safety for these homeowners while showering. The heated floors added throughout the bath take the edge off when stepping out of the warm shower and are conveniently operated by a 24 hour programmable thermostat. Classic white subway tile and chair rail trims adorne all walls and tie in nicely to each vanity station. Carrera look quartz was the perfect choice for countertops creating a clean fresh look. Stunning marble basket-weave mosaic floor tile set the stage in this exquisite bath as the beautiful white painted cabinetry softened the overall feel of the space.
These homeowners are not saving spa retreats for once-a-year vacations anymore, they now enjoy a relaxing spa-like shower experience every day in their own home!

Accented with tasteful geometric lines, this makeup vanity lends a glamorous flair that blends well with any modern decor. This vanity table offers ample storage rooms for your articles of daily use. Dressing table mirror can move left and right.

A partial basement foundation makes this home perfect for hillside lots, while its mixture of exterior building materials and Craftsman details give it the look of a custom design.
Unexpected angles add interest to the open floor plan, where interior columns and special ceiling treatments create definition and distinction. The great room features a cathedral ceiling, fireplace with flanking built-in shelves and access to the screened porch. A convenient pass-thru in the step-saving kitchen keeps everyone connected.
A tray ceiling refines the master suite, which features a bay window, twin walk-ins and an impressive bath with dual vanities, garden tub and oversized shower. A generous recreation room and guest suite comprise the lower level, and a large bonus room provides ample space for future use.
