WHY CHOOSE US?
We have been in business since November 1998 and started in the window covering business by cleaning & repairing blinds. This gave us a unique perspective from most window covering dealers. We have always considered how well products hold up and which manufacturers stand behind their products the best. We let our clients know the benefits of more expensive products and give honest feedback. We take pride in showing alternative products to fit all budgets. We also give our customers an additional 2 year warranty on top of the manufacturers guarantee!
Our great testimonials on Angie’s List, Houzz.com and referrals have helped our company grow without the need for “conventional” advertising. Abda means ‘servant’. At Abda, we approach every customer with a servant’s attitude. This philosophy has helped our customers feel confident in their purchases and well-taken care of. Our number one focus is customer service and we believe in putting the customer’s needs first. We offer our clients an additional 2 year warranty on top of the manufacturer’s warranty and want each and every client to be completely happy with their purchase. We’ve been awarded the prestigious 2014 Angie’s List Super Service Award, an honor bestowed annually on approximately 5 percent of all the businesses rated on the nation’s leading provider of consumer reviews. We’ve grown over the years and have added more team members to our company and we’re very excited at the direction our company is going.

Our clients decided to make use of their small, unused side yard by adding exterior French doors and concrete steps to access it. A large Crazy Quilt bluestone patio bordered with Brussels Block pavers accommodates a 6-person dining table, club chair, chaise, sofa and coffee table. Annuals in pots and along the patio border bring lots of color and texture, and an evergreen screen and custom lattice adds privacy.

Few opportunities come about to design/ renovate a home designed by St Paul’s own Clarence H. Johnston. 785 Dayton, is the only known residential Greek Revival commission by Minnesota’s most prolific architect. Johnston, designed at least 42 mansions along St. Paul’s Historic Summit Avenue.
Looking for additional assistance, the new homeowner’s found Castle to help them design and renovate a main floor ½ bath and create a new master bathroom in the existing 2nd floor master bedroom. Creating spaces that married with the original style and aesthetic of this historic home was essential.
The brand new 2nd floor master bathroom was designed to complement an additional bathroom across the hallway. Taking an existing closet space, Castle was able to use the very small square footage to create a new bathroom that feels very spacious! New Carrera marble hex tiles floors were selected with a marble boarder to pair with the restored and hand-picked marble sink. Traditional subway tile was installed around the room and shower with a beautiful chair rail tile. The new linen closet was custom built by the homeowner’s personal cabinet maker. The storage was designed to match an original piece in the home, as well as provide function for the space. All of the details matter; push button electrical switching, new historically designed porcelain bath accessories by Rejuvenation Hardware, historically designed plumbing fixtures, solid marble shower curb and door threshold, salvaging the original closet door to be installed as a new pocket door, and salvaging the existing window.
Both bathrooms will be enjoyed for many generations to come and add to the beautiful history of the home. This home was a true joy for Castle to be a part of. Come visit this home at Castle’s Annual Educational Home Tour, Fall 2016.

This residential roof deck was lots of fun to design and build. Amenities for any rooftop patio can have a wide range of options and Rooftopia enjoys personalizing all of our features for each of our clients based on the project goals, the existing architecture and the best layout to optimize the space. This spacious third story deck incorporates many customized outdoor features. Rooftopia designed and fabricated a large steel pergola with custom plasma-cut metal screens to cover the dining area, protecting it from the harsh sun. The custom outdoor kitchen with concrete counters, includes finished cabinets for lots of storage, stainless cabinet doors and appliances, with a separate beverage center to house an outdoor refrigerator and ice maker, for all your party needs!
Rooftopia designed and installed a Renson louvered pergola over the seating and lounge area of the deck to add a solid waterproof cover with an outdoor fan. The louvered pergola has more flexibility to open and allow light over the roof or remain closed for full shade and rain protection. We integrated automated retractable fabric screens into both pergola systems to enclose the space and provide shade against the western sun. The beautiful shadows and ambient light in this gorgeous rooftop outdoor space make this perfectly warm and glowy in the afternoon.
Rooftopia installed ornamental metal screens for privacy, shade and as screening to hide utilities. Modern and durable fiberglass planter boxes are filled with a mix of native perennials and annual flowers, edible plants (strawberries, tomatoes & herbs) to bring the beauty of nature into this urban getaway. The planters are installed with an automated watering system for low maintenance care. We added outdoor patio lights, and low voltage LED fixtures to illuminate the beautiful evening details.

A young couple that vacations annually in the Mediterranean retained MHG Greens&Gardens to transform their Dorado Beach East home into a Mediterranean villa. With red roof tiles, soft flat stucco walls, plenty of clean lines, a portico, and ample grounds, MHG Greens&Gardens immediately saw the potential to personalize the couple’s contemporary Caribbean home according to their longtime dream.

Out of sight, out of mind. That’s what happens with the poor chimney. It stands up there, straight and tall, each day taking a beating from the sun, wind, rain, snow and freeze/thaw cycles of winter. Yet, we rely on the chimney each day to take away the smoke and gasses from the fireplace, furnace and water heater appliances.
What can we do as homeowners to ensure it continues to do its job without fail?
Sweep & Check the Chimney and Fireplace
A Certified Technician performs sweep and/or inspection of nearly/over a thousand chimneys annually. You may be familiar with the 14-point certified chimney inspection accompanied by photo documentation - I’ve shown you this graphic before, but it sure is a good one. It gives you the “what and where” of the overall condition of your chimney(s). If you have any questions, you can point to the picture and the certified technician can elaborate on the relative chimney inspection-point results.

Part of the inspection, as you will see in the picture, is to inspect the exterior of the chimney. The Certified Chimney Technician will inspect the full chimney including the chimney flashing, bricks and mortar joints, chimney crown and cap. Let’s take a look at each one.
Chimney Flashing
Chimney flashing plays a vital role to the protection of your home. It’s the piece of material that protects where chimney protrude out of the roof. To prevent water leaks and damage, the technician will inspect for any loose, missing, cracked or damaged flashing.
Brick & Mortar Joints
This is key. To prevent any type of major repairs, take care of minor repairs now. The technician will check for loose, cracked or spalling (chipped) bricks. If there are loose bricks and numerous cracks and chips, we’ll inspect further for any type of water leaks or water damage problems.
Chimney Crown
The concrete slab on top of the chimney is the chimney crown. It serves a very important purpose. The concrete slab acts like your chimney’s own personal roof. The technician will check if there are cracks, loose or missing pieces from the crown.
Chimney Cap
Chimney caps are also a critical component of the chimney - Every chimney needs a chimney cap for the same reasons every home needs a roof! It covers the opening of the flue. It prevents animals, debris and water from entering the chimney. The material of a chimney cap is usually made of stainless steel, as it will not rust.

After transplanting the pre-existing vegetation (including three species of palm and ferns) to a more suitable location on the property, MHG Greens&Gardens redesigned and planted the front lawn with two 9 feet tall Italian Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens), rimmed with a single low ball of Eugenia myrtifolium; and three Eugenia myrtifolium topiaries (three balls connected by a central bare stem); and an “Ayer, hoy y siempre” shrub (Brunfelsia (Solanaceae)), a small evergreen shrub with colorful blooms ranging from purple to white according to their stage of development.

If you’re active on GardenWeb sharing plant photos, asking for advice, tracking seasonal progress you already understand how much detail goes into gardening. Soil pH, rainfall, emerging leaves, bloom counts, fertilizer schedules it adds up fast. But all that rich information often remains buried in posts, lists or memory. What if you could visualize that data and turn it into clear quick insights? That’s where a graph maker becomes a game-changer for your gardening workflow.
1. Why garden data belongs on a graph
On GardenWeb, you’ll find forums for everything from perennial care, vegetable gardening, patios, herbs, even cooking and craft projects. While plant lovers share observations and ask questions, many track progress manually in spreadsheets or memory. A graph maker flips that around:
Instead of a list of numbers (e.g., “Soil test: pH 6.4 in May, 6.1 in October”), you get a line graph showing the decline over time.
Instead of guessing which plant bloomed most, you see a bar chart comparing counts across plants.
Instead of manually calculating average rainfall effect, you plot scatter points of bloom count vs. rainfall.
By turning your data into visuals, you’re not just recording—you’re analysing, learning and improving. For GardenWeb users this means smarter decisions: Which fertilizer actually improves bloom count? Which shady spot recovers slower? A graph maker gives clarity.
2. What is a graph maker and how to use one
A graph maker is a web tool or software that lets you input raw data (numbers, dates, categories) and output visual charts like line graphs, bar charts, scatter plots, etc. It might allow you to import a spreadsheet, select chart type, customize colours, label axes, and export the image for your blog, forum post or personal log.
Here’s how you could apply it for gardening:
Log blooms per week for each rose plant.
Using the graph maker, choose line graph to track changes over weeks.
Label your y-axis “Number of Blooms”, x-axis “Week of Year”.
Add colour lines for each plant for easy comparison.
Export as PNG and embed it in a GardenWeb forum post: “See bloom trend for my ‘Peace’ vs ‘Knock Out’ roses”.
This isn’t just pretty-to-look-at: it makes the trend obvious, invites discussion (“Hey, your ‘Knock Out’ line dips after week 28—what changed?”) and helps you refine your routine.
3. Use these specific scenarios on GardenWeb
A. Soil pH and plant health tracking
After multiple tests you have pH values over time and bloom results. Upload both datasets into the graph maker, produce a dual-axis line graph: soil pH on one axis, bloom count on the other. Post your findings in the “Soil, Fertility & Nutrients” forum and get feedback.
B. Seasonal pest or disease appearance
Record number of aphids spotted each month and whether you used treatment. A bar chart via the graph maker can show pre- and post-treatment figures. Then ask the “Insect & Disease Control” forum for advice based on your visual data.
C. Yield comparison between varieties
You grow two zucchini varieties. You keep weekly yield in pounds. Use the graph maker for a side-by-side bar chart. Share in the “Vegetable Gardening” forum: “Which was better this year? See the chart”.
D. Rainfall vs growth rate
You log weekly rainfall and growth (in cm) of your tomato plants. Use scatter plot in graph maker. If a pattern emerges, you’re ready to post: “Is my growth plateau due to drought? Chart shows a clear correlation.”
4. Why this elevates your GardenWeb contributions
When you post with a chart made by a graph maker, you’re doing more than asking or showing off. You’re investigating. You’re analysing. You invite the community to give feedback on data, not just anecdotes. That elevates the discussion. Instead of “My plant died, any ideas?” you post “See this graph of pH drop and bloom count—what might be the limiting factor?” High-quality visuals raise your post’s value and garner more thoughtful responses.
Plus, your posts become useful references for others: someone else can say, “Cool graphic, can you share your data sheet?” You build credibility and help the forum become a learning hub—not just a Q&A board.
5. Tips for using a graph maker effectively in the GardenWeb context
Keep it simple: One chart, one insight. Don’t overcrowd.
Label clearly: Titles, axis labels, units (e.g., cm/week, mg/L, °F).
Use readable colours: Avoid faint tones that vanish on mobile.
Annotate when needed: Add notes like “Fertiliser switched week 12” or “Shade cloth added”.
Provide context in your post: Don’t leave the chart alone—write a few sentences explaining what it shows and what you’re seeking.
Embed carefully: Make sure your image displays properly in GardenWeb; check mobile view.
Share raw data: If possible link to your spreadsheet so others can replicate or comment.
Be open to feedback: The chart invites questions; embrace them.
6. Possible pitfalls and how to avoid them
Bad data = bad chart: If your measurements aren’t consistent, your graph will mislead. Use standardized data collection.
Too much complexity: Multi-axis charts, too many variables—confusing. Stick to one or two variables.
Overlooking mobile viewers: Many GardenWeb users browse via phones. Use large fonts and simple visuals.
Ignoring the narrative: Chart alone won’t answer. Explain what it means and what you need.
Outdated charts: If you update your data annually, keep your visuals current or label them clearly as “2024 data”.
7. Final thoughts
On GardenWeb you’ll find a vibrant community of gardeners, DIYers, cooks and design lovers.Using a graph maker for your posts and progress turns your experience from casual hobby-logging into smart data-driven gardening. You’ll not only learn more—your peers will learn more, too.
So next time you log your plant growth, record your yield, test your soil or track pests—don’t just note it. Plot it. Use a graph maker. Share it in the forum. Let your garden tell the story, and let the community help you write the next chapter.
