Riomar Estate Designed and Furnished by Shanghai Green Antiques - Master Bedroom Suite. Note the antique Chinese cabinet in the center of the picture, the antique Chinese stool in front of the chair, the antique Chinese wooden drum on top of the cabinet. Note the two antique doors from Yunnan Province - homes in this province usually have six doors, and this set was no exception - so four of the doors were used as the headboard for the master bedroom, and two were used on the other side of the room as decorative highlight pieces. The carvings are exquisite and the patina is out of this world beautiful.

Well-traveled. Relaxed. Timeless.
Our well-traveled clients were soon-to-be empty nesters when they approached us for help reimagining their Presidio Heights home. The expansive Spanish-Revival residence originally constructed in 1908 had been substantially renovated 8 year prior, but needed some adaptations to better suit the needs of a family with three college-bound teens. We evolved the space to be a bright, relaxed reflection of the family’s time together, revising the function and layout of the ground-floor rooms and filling them with casual, comfortable furnishings and artifacts collected abroad.
One of the key changes we made to the space plan was to eliminate the formal dining room and transform an area off the kitchen into a casual gathering spot for our clients and their children. The expandable table and coffee/wine bar means the room can handle large dinner parties and small study sessions with similar ease. The family room was relocated from a lower level to be more central part of the main floor, encouraging more quality family time, and freeing up space for a spacious home gym.
In the living room, lounge-worthy upholstery grounds the space, encouraging a relaxed and effortless West Coast vibe. Exposed wood beams recall the original Spanish-influence, but feel updated and fresh in a light wood stain. Throughout the entry and main floor, found artifacts punctate the softer textures — ceramics from New Mexico, religious sculpture from Asia and a quirky wall-mounted phone that belonged to our client’s grandmother.

Riomar Estate Designed and Furnished by Shanghai Green Antiques - Home Theater. Note the antique Chinese courtyard doors which have been hung like barn doors as the entrance to the theater. Note also the antique Chinese tea tables next to each sofa, and the ancient Chinese deity statue in the niche at the back of the room.

A master bathroom dreams are made of. So serene and sumptuous. The vanity is Shiloh and the countertop is Cambria Ella. The herringbone marble floor adds to the room's luxurious feel. The fixtures are Kohler Artifacts. The brass fixtures pop against the white backdrop.

This spacious master bathroom is bright and elegant. It features white Calacatta marble tile on the floor, wainscoting treatment, and enclosed glass shower. The same Calacatta marble is also used on the two vanity countertops. Our crew spent time planning out the installation of the gorgeous water-jet floor tile insert, as well as the detailed Calacatta slab wall treatment in the shower.
