This Duvall, Washington custom 12x12 ground-level deck was designed to create a functional outdoor viewing and gathering space with a clean, low-profile layout. Built with premium Azek Cypress decking in a picture-frame design, the project features carefully lowered beam trenches to minimize step height and create smooth transitions toward the home and fire pit area. A custom concrete telescope pier foundation was also integrated into the design, allowing for a dedicated astronomy setup while maintaining structural separation from the deck itself. Additional electrical outlets were included for convenience and future outdoor use.

Known as the King of Planets, Jupiter is the largest and arguably the most beautiful planet in our solar system. With a diligent recreation that includes the planet’s characteristic blue and brown bands, atmospheric storms, and notable “Great Red Spot”, the Jupiter MOVA Globe is a breathtaking representation of the magnificent gas planet. This is my daughter’s bedroom. A fascination with space led us to create a room where she can dream big, while still keeping it teen enough to not be too “theme-y”. We had the idea of giving it a modern NASA office feel, with authentic 1960s furniture and lighting, mixed with new accent pieces, a black wall, and space art and memorabilia.
