Designed by Reico Kitchen & Bath in Falls Church, VA in collaboration with contractor Mark Malone, this contemporary inspired kitchen design features Ultracraft Cabinetry in the Slab door style in two finishes. The base cabinets and standard height level wall cabinets features a Natural Bamboo finish. The stacked wall cabinets above standard white are in a Seneca White finish. Kitchen countertops are Cambria in the color Ferndale. Additional products not supplied by Reico for this project include: Fireclay Tile 2x8 Peabody Green subway tile backsplash; Mac and Milo Allessandra 1-light Single Bell pendant lights over the peninsula; and a WAC Lighting 35" wide integrated LED chandelier from Lamps Unlimited. The kitchen also features storage and access on the backside of the kitchen peninsula, where the back of the sink base has been modified to allow for custom access and a cabinet has been installed just to the left of the sink base. The design was created to maximize the space available, which led to removing a wall and a window while adding skylights to allow for an abundance of natural light in the space. This kitchen was a huge transformation. Dark luxury vinyl plank flooring from the back door through the kitchen. Off white cabinets, deep blue island and light countertops. White subway tile along the perimeter cabinets, with an accent tile behind the stainless steel hood and above the range. Before, the kitchen was outdated and was very closed off from the living room. The homeowners wanted to open the space up so it was a great space for entertaining. In order to optimize the space and make this happen, we did a few things.. 1) Removed the wall separating the kitchen from the dining room 2) Removal of the ceiling in the kitchen and dining room so it was one level and height maximized 3) Drywalled in a window that was out to the 3 seasons room This allowed us to maximize the space for a lot of cabinets, storage, and functionality. The biggest feature of this new kitchen is the 10‘ wide two toned island with overhangs on all sides, allowing for 5 to 6 seats along the backside. The homeowners did a wonderful job with their selections, adding their special touches with décor and even a few projects of their own to finish out their new kitchen space!

This beautiful acreage home was set into a hill at the backside of the property. This left very little room for a desired patio space or hot tub. The limited view from the rear windows looked directly into a hill. We were able to level a large area for an entertainment space and taper the hill with twin water features. A center stone staircase allows access to the beautiful landscape above. It really opens the space and made wonderful use of less than desirable hard to mow hill.

Inspiration for a small contemporary light wood floor wine cellar remodel in San Diego

SIDING: HardiePlank Cedarmill lap siding - Woodgrain texture, prefinished, 4" reveal, in color: Khaki Brown, was done on the garage in the foreground and the backside of the home where the new laundry room is located.

Originally this farmhouse had a summer kitchen and did not have one inside the home. Back in the 60's this home had a small addition with a galley kitchen that one person could cook in the space. With the new owners of this home, they wanted this space to be welcoming to all of their family and friends to be apart of the cooking and conversations. So they asked us to help them open up the space. We said lets take out the walls and create your dream kitchen! With a structural engineer, we were able to safely take out the walls and make a stunning space that the whole family can enjoy! This kitchen also has storage on the backside of the island to store all of the extras! And a faux beam over the structural beam helps tie in the warmth that the client wanted in their home. The oil rubbed bronze hardware really creates a finished look.

The 5’x5’ shower was stripped to the studs which allowed for all the new plumbing components including body sprays, 2 shower heads, and a rain head all enclosed (including the ceiling) in a gorgeous 12”x24” Quest matte tile that replicates a marble look. To make the 36” wide soap niche completely unique, an Arabesque Beveled Mosaic in a grey color lines the backside of it.

In this kitchen remodeling project the original kitchen was designed awkwardly around an unneeded backside exterior door. The designer Steve Vickers and the clients decided to change that door to a new window. This small change allowed for the designing of a great new kitchen. The new kitchen design blends perfect with the home; giving the clients tons more storage as well as a large new island for seating and entertaining. The cabinetry chosen is Echelon Cabinetry in the Addison door style with a Linen painted finish. The awesome new countertops in Leathered Finish Steel Grey Granite have a great smooth feel and are a durable and forgiving for family living. Steve McHenry and crew ( the lead carpenter on site) did a great job on everything from start to finish. What a great transformation.

This home in Bonita Bay, Florida is located in a development designed with a tropical, entertaining-friendly courtyard floor plan, barrel tile roofs, and arched windows. The only thing missing was a modern, elegant and functional kitchen where two chefs could work simultaneously and have better flow among the surrounding spaces. Having worked with Progressive Design before on three prior renovations, all in less than one year, Progressive was the obvious choice for their fourth major remodel—this masterful kitchen renovation. Challenge Ultimately, Progressive Design Build was tasked with transforming a closed-off kitchen into an open concept floor plan. The design and production team began working on a solution to the structural beam support—confirming its adequacy for supporting the loft above after cutting a few holes in the drywall. Secondly, the size of the current marble tile flooring was no longer available. We needed a solution that would seamlessly blend the new flooring with the old. Thirdly, the existing lighting plan was inefficient and would need to be updated to accommodate the new island location and kitchen layout. Solution Since the existing marble flooring tile size was no longer available, we designed a beautiful stone border between the new kitchen and the existing living space to create a small break in the two-floor patterns, minimizing the noticeable difference in the tile sizes. Once installed, we re-polished and sealed the entire floor creating a beautiful sheen and natural flow throughout the space. The new location of the kitchen island, as well as additional perimeter lighting, necessitated the need to move electrical outlets and light switches to a more convenient and intuitive location. This was implemented strategically using a well-thought-out lighting plan. The clients were thrilled when we suggested removing a sink from their existing wet bar (which was rarely used) and moved the wet bar drain to the new laundry room, located on the backside of the wet bar. Special features include custom-designed Dura Supreme cabinets painted in a white finish, for the kitchen, wet bar, and laundry room; Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, and an impressive gas range with downdraft at the cooktop. Results Not only was this Bonita Bay couple thrilled to receive all of their remodel wish list items, but Progressive Design Build was able to complete their project ahead of schedule and on budget.
