This stunning kitchen design in Gainesville utilizes a contrasting color scheme from ceiling to floor to create a one-of-a-kind space at the center of this home, paired with the adjacent formal dining room. The cabinetry sets the tone for the color scheme with Shiloh Eclipse white perimeter cabinets providing the backdrop contrasted with an island and beverage bar in a dark wood finish, all accented by Richilieu brushed nickel hardware. The Barbados Sand Quartzite countertop and backsplash is a showstopper in this design, bringing together the dark and light color scheme with striking patterns of brown, beige, and white tones. The white tray ceiling style is offset by dark wood beams and highlighted by LED lights. The kitchen remodel incorporates ample storage including customized cabinet storage, open storage at the end of the island, and glass front cabinets in the beverage bar for displaying glassware. The beverage center also includes a tall beverage refrigerator and sink. Subzero and Wolf appliances feature throughout the kitchen including the oven, range, microwave, and refrigerator, combined with a large stainless chimney hood.

Project: Palazzo Margherita Bernalda Restoration
Elements used: Encaustic Tiles, Antique Limestone, antique stone fountain, antique stone fireplace.
Discover the cuisine, wines and history of the Basilicata region at the luxurious Palazzo Margherita. Set in the village of Bernalda, the well-preserved villa is close to the region’s white-sand beaches and the famed Sassi caves. The property was recently renovated by the Coppola family with decorator Jacques Grange, imbuing its luxurious traditional interiors with modern style.
Start each day of your stay with an included breakfast, then head out to read in the courtyard garden, lounge under an umbrella on the terrace by the pool or sip a mimosa at the al-fresco bar. Have dinner at one of the outdoor tables, then finish the evening in the media room. The property also has its own restaurant and bar, which are open to the public but separate from the house.
Traditional architecture, lush gardens and a few modern furnishings give the villa the feel of a grand old estate brought back to life. In the media room, a vaulted ceiling with ornate moldings speaks to the home’s past, while striped wallpaper in neutral tones is a subtly contemporary touch. The eat-in kitchen has a dramatically arched Kronos stone ceiling and a long, welcoming table with bistro-style chairs.
The nine suite-style bedrooms are each decorated with their own scheme and each have en-suite bathrooms, creating private retreats within the palazzo. There are three bedrooms with queen beds on the garden level; all three have garden access and one has a sitting area. Upstairs, there are six bedrooms with king beds, all of which have access to either a Juliet balcony, private balcony or furnished terrace.
From Palazzo Margherita’s location in Bernalda, it’s a 20-minute drive to several white-sand beaches on the Ionian Sea.

This corner lot was taking on a lot of water from the street, as well as headlights from passing cars. To solve both problems, we created a berm and densely planted it with evergreen screening plants. The berm redirects water around the house, as well as elevating the plant material.

The owners of this beachfront retreat wanted a whole-home remodel. They were looking to revitalize their three-story vacation home with an exterior inspired by Japanese woodcraft and an interior the evokes Scandinavian simplicity. Now, the open kitchen and living room offer an energetic space for the family to congregate while enjoying a 360 degree coastal views.
Built-in bunkbeds for six ensure there’s enough sleeping space for visitors, while the outdoor shower makes it easy for beachgoers to rinse off before hitting the deckside hot tub. It was a joy to help make this vision a reality!

his yard was transformed from a bland bilder basic to a fun and lush xeriscaped entry way. To make the yard feel bigger, we removed the driveway and used gravel from end to end, creating an open, borderless planting and patio space across the entire front yard. For extra security and privacy, a fence was added along the front, which features an automatic gate for easy use as they come and go. With the limestone facade being one of the customers least favorite features of the house, we planted fig ivy vines to grow and cover it.
