This Spanish style Californian home used our Antique Barnboard Oak flooring in all 6.5" wide planks. It will incorporate two generations immediately, with separate suites for the home owners and their parents, and will be flexible enough to accommodate the next generation as well, when the owners have children of their own. During the design process we addressed the needs of each group and took special care that each suite was designed with lots of light, high ceilings, and large rooms.

A rustic elegant custom chalet with incredible features. This chalet is built for entertaining multiple generations, with open concept main floor, large family room, and levels connected with an elevator, this chalet is built to stand the test of time.

The feature wall is a wood look tile (easier cleaning than authentic barnboard would have been) and the wonderful pattern and colour it gives meant no further embellishment was needed on this wall.

This terrific master bedroom was transformed by adding wood-look tile on a feature wall, changing the closet doors to swing doors with mirrored panels, and of course new bedding, dressers and a new headboard!

The headboard was picked up together with the dressing table and art facing the bed. The client fell in love with the pieces, so we designed the room around them!

This barnboard was used to cover what would have been an awkward bulkhead. The other side shows a sleek, rain shower in contrasting navy tile. Photo: Matea Testa
