We had the pleasure of adding some serious style to this pied-a-terre located in the heart of Austin. With only 750 square feet, we were able to give this Airbnb property a chic combination of both Texan culture and contemporary style via locally sourced artwork and intriguing textiles. We wanted the interior to be attractive to everyone who stepped in the door, so we chose an earth-toned color palette consisting of soft creams, greens, blues, and peach. Contrasting black accents and an eclectic gallery wall fill the space with a welcoming personality that also leaves a “city vibe” feel. This project was a commissioned, custom design and built of a walnut and steel kitchen table for a client in Fairway Kansas in the Kansas City area. Table dimensions are 75" Long x 43" Wide x 30"H (walnut top is 1 1/2" Thick). This custom commissioned 1 1/2" thick walnut table was years in the making. This is a little misleading, as it really only took around eight weeks to fabricate the walnut table top and black painted steel base. However, the six 1 1/2" planks of walnut wood were reclaimed from two different storage areas that had been aging the wood for twenty-five and thirty-five years respectively. This aging allows for the chocolate color of the wood to really emerge. The custom designed and fabricated steel base is painted a flat black to match chairs and other accents.

A custom redwood deck and bench. The bench has a metal base and the deck a metal railing. Behind it is a colored and stamped concrete walkway and hedge plants.

River Rock strip surrounded by mulch garden with water feature. Low maintenance planting, with river stone to promote proper drainage. Wheelbarrow used as an outdoor feature for a visually appealing landscape.

A home office was converted into a full service sports bar. This room has space to seat 20. It has three televisions, a refrigerated wine room, a fireplace and even a secret door. The countertop is zinc, the ceiling tiles are authentic stamped tin. Behind the counter are taps for two kegs, soda machine, custom ice makers, glass chillers and a full professional service bar. There's a cocktail station with integrated drains, refrigeration drawers, and a dedicated dishwasher. Why leave the house?
