Inspiration for a small asian 3/4 green tile ceramic tile bathroom remodel in New York with green walls

2x4 handmade tiles work great in this small space. Glaze color Skky, a soft blue/grey with a crackle finish. Behind the we used 4x8 Florette deco tiles with a repeating pattern. The gingko leaf has a special meaning to the home owners, so we impressed them into a few of the tiles to add a personal touch

25 to 50' tall. 25 to 35' wide. Partial shade to full sun. Hailed as “undoubtedly one of the most distinct and beautiful of all deciduous trees,” the ginkgo certainly stands out. Unique, fan-shaped leaves turn a stunning yellow color in the fall. It can tolerate many urban conditions including heat, air pollution, salt and confined spaces. And it establishes easily. This tree also comes with a bit of history. It is a living fossil, with the earliest leaf fossils date from 270 million years ago.

This shower tile design was inspired by the mural artist's work in the surrounding bath which featured a cherry tree theme. The glass mosaics (Oceanside Glass Tile) are a custom blend and the cherry tree was made by Dragonfly out of marble, scribed into the glass mosaic but left proud for a relief effect. Floor and ceiling also marble mosaics.

The tall stalks with the elongated conical blooms are Actea racemosa (formerly known as Cimicifuga racemosa - much more fun toe say!) with many common names such as: black cohosh, black bugbane, black snakeroot and fairy candle. There is some spent goat's beard to the right still looking pretty nice and Virginia Creeper on the wall.

Location: Cohasset, MA, United States This elegant property has gorgeous views of the harbor, with sweeping stone walls that create a terraced effect. Since the house was a warm beige, I felt a bold red would really bring it to life, mixed with burgundy foliage and big, dramatic grasses. Hay Scented Fern, Solomon's Seal and Hellebore create a dense, naturalistic ground cover along this slope at the bottom on a ledge cliff.
