Search results for "Borrowing cost" in Home Design Ideas

Realtor wanted to stage this Sea Pines villa. The home had been with two previous realtors with no results. When this Realtor took the listing, she told the owner that 90% of buyers start their search on the internet. Unfortunately, your place does not look "inviting but rather stark & cold in its present state so it's being passed over". That's when she called me for advice...we moved existing furniture around, borrowed some artwork, created a coffee table with two smaller tables. Added a little color with pillows & towels. The owner's only out of pocket cost for two wicker end tables and a wicker etagere was less than $200. The end result was that the place sold within two weeks of it hitting the market!

We moved furniture into a cohesive group and added artwork. Two end tables placed together serve as coffee table.

This is a Lake Tahoe area re-design of a home that was in dire need of a makeover. The cabinets were dark grainy oak, and the furniture was overstuffed bargain basement. The client asked for a Candace Olson look, so we borrowed from her design aesthetic, while being true to our own as well. We decided to reface the cabinets to cut down on cost since it is, after all, a retreat. We removed the doors on part of the uppers to give the client some display space and added a nice size pantry (not shown). Since the area is heavily forested, the interior was really dark, so Mussman Design add ed a lot of light both with our paint selection and with recessed lighting and chandeliers. To really appreciate the transformation, be sure to view Mussman Design's portfolio of the before/after on our website. Photo: Stan Mussman

The walls where moved and space was redesigned to borrow space from an adjoining bedroom to create this white tiled oasis. It's turquoise ceiling, silver clawfoot tub, vintage style tile wrapping the whole room and glamorous accents make this a bathroom fit for a queen.
