The whole home is not based on a design aesthetic, but rather how someone wants to feel in a space, specifically the feeling of being cozy, calm, and clean. This home is an interpretation of modern design without focusing on one specific genre; it boasts a midcentury master bedroom, stark and minimal bathrooms, an office that doubles as a music den, and modern open concept on the first floor. Nestled against the backdrop of the Worcester Mountain Range lies this timeless Modern Farmhouse. This project consisted of a full gut to most of the interior as well as new windows, doors, siding, decks, and trim. Part of the project involved building an addition to join the detached garage to the main house as well as redefining the entry with a beautiful and functional mudroom and powder room. We also built out a new dining room with a ton of glass which helped to connect the interior with the lush gardens outside. Custom cabinetry, millwork, and builtins throughout. Doug Fir Timbers were used to support the load above while also providing a warm and handsome ascetic value throughout the downstairs as we opened the floorpan up. It is always refreshing to breath new life into an outdated structure.

We worked with the homeowners who have two sons to create a bright and serene forever home. The project consisted of one kitchen, four bathrooms, den, and game room. We mixed Scandinavian and mid-century modern styles to create these unique and fun spaces.

This project is a great example of how the different divisions under Provost Companies can come together to create exceptional results for this construction project in Wellesley, MA. This project consists of the initial site work including, excavating and re-grading the property to improve drainage and access. Our construction division was tasked with replacing some of the exterior siding and installing a new deck on the home. To provide more value to the client we installed waterproof taping on the top of all our joists to help prevent moisture from entering. We leave the bottom and side open so it can breathe. This prevents moisture from falling directly into the inevitable splits (specifically at the top of the joist where it will take direct rain and water infiltration) that occur in PT lumber. This wasn’t our idea, and we aren’t taking credit for it, it’s just a best practice we follow to provide more value to the client. Yes, using steel joists is a superior solution but steel is often outside of the budget. Our landscape construction team was tasked with re-grading the yard, installing a bluestone patio and fieldstone retention wall.

For this project in Alamo, we shepherded the transition of a traditional California Ranch house into a clean modern home for our clients, empty nesters who love to entertain. Within an interior envelope of all-white walls and newly-elevated ceilings, a limited palette of materials consisting of warm oak floors and cabinetry combined with warm neutrals and soft grays, feels like a breath of fresh air and allows the greenery outside the many windows to play a leading role in the color scheme. The furnishings, including custom upholstered furnishings by Hardesty Dwyer, are comfortable and “bulletproof” to accommodate the couple’s six lively grandchildren. In the vaulted great-room, a large family table is the heart of the home. It is here that the couple regularly hosts Sunday dinners with their children and grandchildren.
