This project was a gut renovation of a loft on Park Ave. South in Manhattan – it’s the personal residence of Andrew Petronio, partner at KA Design Group. Bilotta Senior Designer, Jeff Eakley, has worked with KA Design for 20 years. When it was time for Andrew to do his own kitchen, working with Jeff was a natural choice to bring it to life. Andrew wanted a modern, industrial, European-inspired aesthetic throughout his NYC loft. The allotted kitchen space wasn’t very big; it had to be designed in such a way that it was compact, yet functional, to allow for both plenty of storage and dining. Having an island look out over the living room would be too heavy in the space; instead they opted for a bar height table and added a second tier of cabinets for extra storage above the walls, accessible from the black-lacquer rolling library ladder. The dark finishes were selected to separate the kitchen from the rest of the vibrant, art-filled living area – a mix of dark textured wood and a contrasting smooth metal, all custom-made in Bilotta Collection Cabinetry. The base cabinets and refrigerator section are a horizontal-grained rift cut white oak with an Ebony stain and a wire-brushed finish. The wall cabinets are the focal point – stainless steel with a dark patina that brings out black and gold hues, picked up again in the blackened, brushed gold decorative hardware from H. Theophile. The countertops by Eastern Stone are a smooth Black Absolute; the backsplash is a black textured limestone from Artistic Tile that mimics the finish of the base cabinets. The far corner is all mirrored, elongating the room. They opted for the all black Bertazzoni range and wood appliance panels for a clean, uninterrupted run of cabinets. The refrigerator was relocated to the right side of the Kitchen. The stainless steel Fisher-Paykel "Professional" 36" counter-depth fridge completes the stylish Kitchen.

This is a new item to the Fleurco line - nice use of space/storage inside the base and a high end frameless door system to make an alcove space really shine!

This home was a complete gut, so it got a major face-lift in each room. In the powder and hall baths, we decided to try to make a huge impact in these smaller spaces, and so guests get a sense of "wow" when they need to wash up! Powder Bath: The freestanding sink basin is from Stone Forest, Harbor Basin with Carrara Marble and the console base is Palmer Industries Jamestown in satin brass with a glass shelf. The faucet is from Newport Brass and is their wall mount Jacobean in satin brass. With the small space, we installed the Toto Eco Supreme One-Piece round bowl, which was a huge floor space saver. Accessories are from the Newport Brass Aylesbury collection. Hall Bath: The vanity and floating shelves are from WW Woods Shiloh Cabinetry, Poplar wood with their Cadet stain which is a gorgeous blue-hued gray. Plumbing products - the faucet and shower fixtures - are from the Brizo Rook collection in chrome, with accessories to match. The commode is a Toto Drake II 2-piece. Toto was also used for the sink, which sits in a Caesarstone Pure White quartz countertop.

Small space living solutions are used throughout this contemporary 596 square foot tiny house. Adjustable height table in the entry area serves as both a coffee table for socializing and as a dining table for eating. Curved banquette is upholstered in outdoor fabric for durability and maximizes space with hidden storage underneath the seat. Kitchen island has a retractable countertop for additional seating while the living area conceals a work desk and media center behind sliding shoji screens. Calming tones of sand and deep ocean blue fill the tiny bedroom downstairs. Glowing bedside sconces utilize wall-mounting and swing arms to conserve bedside space and maximize flexibility.

By moving the exterior wall to the patio out two feet, we were able to create an open kitchen/dining/living space in perfect proportion for this mid-century style home. This extra space allowed us to transform the existing galley kitchen into a U-shape with a peninsula bar. The blue base cabinets pack a punch of color, while the white uppers and backsplash create a light and airy space that looks bigger than the actual square footage.

This customer combined Frosty White painted uppers with Saddle-stained Hickory base cabinets for a warm and timeless dream space. The standard birch interiors on the glass door cabinet tie the warm wood floors and base cabinets into the upper section and bring everything together. Drawer cabinets abound for convenient storage, and the appliance cabinets are custom-sized to carry the inset design throughout.
