Fortunately for our homeowners, the fire damage was minimal, but the smoke and water damage required an immediate fix. The bathroom encompassed two distinct spaces: a vanity area and a separate toilet room with an original bathtub. The design involved replacing the tub with a walk-in shower. With a family member’s carpentry skills as inspiration, the design for the vanity incorporated a custom-built vanity with dual sinks.

After water damage caused the shower floor to sink, this 1997 West Linn home underwent a thoughtful kitchen and bathroom remodel. The updates addressed structural issues, modernized the kitchen for potential resale, and replaced family room carpet with hardwoods to create a cohesive flow. The homeowners prioritized quality materials while staying mindful of costs.

Bathroom before and in progress now. Broken tiles built on top of particle board. The leaking toilet caused water damage and rotting, so the toilet started sinking to the subfloor. The shower has hard-water stains and the old tile shown here was installed directly onto the sheet rock.
