Exposed concrete ceilings sit above classic white wall panelling and warm herringbone oak floors, giving every room a balance of grit and grace. In the living room, a deep taupe velvet sectional, smoked glass tables and a cowhide rug invite lounging, while a sculptural smoked-chrome pendant floats above the dining table. The kitchen pairs Calacatta marble with bronze-toned cabinetry and a waterfall island lined with bentwood stools. In the bedrooms, charcoal upholstery, inky drapery and graphic black-and-white rugs create a moody, hotel-like calm. The bathrooms continue the story with cerused oak vanities, brushstroke tile and crisp modern fixtures. The result is urban luxury: bold, layered and effortlessly livable.

The Cicero is a modern styled home for today’s contemporary lifestyle. It features sweeping facades with deep overhangs, tall windows, and grand outdoor patio. The contemporary lifestyle is reinforced through a visually connected array of communal spaces. The kitchen features a symmetrical plan with large island and is connected to the dining room through a wide opening flanked by custom cabinetry. Adjacent to the kitchen, the living and sitting rooms are connected to one another by a see-through fireplace. The communal nature of this plan is reinforced downstairs with a lavish wet-bar and roomy living space, perfect for entertaining guests. Bi Fold doors conveniently hide away toaster and Kitchen Aid mixer. It's not often that you can take advantage of a lake view out in the suburbs of Chicago. This previously closed off kitchen now features an updated design with a great sightlines of the marvelous backyard landscape. The PB Kitchens Design team eliminated the formal eating area and instead, created an island with four spaces for seating, a second sink, and an abundance of storage. The outdoors is brought in via the large new windows and the earthy grey cabinet colors. Project specs: Cabinets by Signature Custom Cabinetry. The island features a Peruvian walnut island top from Grothouse Lumber. Dark granite countertop on the perimeter cabinetry. Quarter sawn white oak is used on the perimeter and island cabinets. Both are stained a weathered grey with the island a darker shade. Peruvian walnut island top from Grothouse Lumber are signature elements in this transitional kitchen.

A stunning minimal primary bathroom features marble herringbone shower tiles, hexagon mosaic floor tiles, and niche. We removed the bathtub to make the shower area larger. Also features a modern floating toilet, floating quartz shower bench, and custom white oak shaker vanity with a stacked quartz countertop. It feels perfectly curated with a mix of matte black and brass metals. The simplicity of the bathroom is balanced out with the patterned marble floors.

Small walk-in pantry in both our white and chocolate pear finishes. Corner adjustable shelving for maximum use of space and slide-out leather wrapped baskets and canned food racks for better organization.
