The entryway has impressive cathedral ceilings from vertical grain Douglas Fir. The entry lights are an artistic combination of blue and clear glass pendants. The walls are French oak with built in nooks for art display. The doors are double entry from Rift Sawn White Oak. Cozy bright greatroom with coffered ceiling detail. Beautiful south facing light comes through Pella Reserve Windows (screens roll out of bottom of window sash). This room is bright and cheery and very inviting. We even hid a remote shade in the beam closest to the windows for privacy at night and shade if too bright.

The original master bath suite in this rustic lake house possessed high ceilings with multiple rooms and all surfaces covered in Knotty Pine. Although there were multiple windows in this space, the wood walls, floor and ceiling tended to absorb natural light and force the illumination to come from incandescent Amber fixtures. Our approach was to start with a blank slate by removing all existing partitions and doors. A metal and milk glass wall with a functioning transom and integrated door, was designed and fabricated to divide the space and provide privacy, while allowing light to transfer from the shower, water-closet, bath and dressing room. The welded steel frames his and hers vanities have inlaid white glass panels with integrated steel framed mirrors above.

A stone wall was removed and the layout reworked to create more room for two people to cook at the same time in this new kitchen. The raised ceiling and creamy cabinets make things more open and a custom hood over the stone backsplash creates a strong focal point. The gorgeous island has a surround of reclaimed wood and also compliments the same wood also used on the raised ceiling. A striking blend of stone, steel and wood elements combine in this refreshingly contemporary wine cellar. The light natural palette is reflected in the Douglas fir blocks for the focal piece, our VINIUM wine racking system. The inclusion of wine pegs against rustic tile accent walls, allowing for full label view, gives the displayed bottles a floating effect. Finished with a barrel ceiling of reclaimed cooperage, it is a warm and unique retreat.

Two-bedroom renovation in a 1920’s loft style building. A single large floating ceiling with perimeter cove lighting was built over the living and dining space to accentuate the extra tall ceiling height. The ceiling also serves to hide LED recessed lighting, speakers and sprinkler heads. Custom teak veneer doors are wrapped with blackened steel door jams and a blackened steel base reveal that match the extra-large aluminum windows. High gloss gray lacquer cabinetry was used in the kitchen as well as for the matching living room TV unit. In the kitchen, custom flush pivot doors on either end, built to look like part of the kitchen cabinetry, push open on one side reveal an office behind and on the other to reveal a rear hallway leading to a guest bathroom. White caesarstone countertops were used throughout with large porcelain tiles in the bathrooms. Engineered grey-washed rift and quartered white oak floors extend throughout.
