Surrounding custom cabinetry maximizes storage while maintaining a clean, functional layout. The design pairs crisp white cabinetry with a light white oak niche, complemented by a floor-to-ceiling mirror that enhances light and creates a sense of spaciousness.

The wine cabinet features custom, raised panel quarter-sawn oak stained to match the existing oak trim and paneling. The wine bar is aesthetically pleasing to the eye while providing a multi-use, multi-functional solutions for the family needs. The cabinet that faces right upper and lower cabinets with doors, one drawer and a granite top. - area for bottle storage - open wine glass storage - glass front cabinet storage area for wine glasses and other glassware - closed and concealed storage for other items - a “command central” space on the right side to re-charge phones, hang keys, display wall calendar, and drop purse. This Kansas City-area home organization project focused on creating functional, design-forward systems throughout several of the family's most-used spaces, including the kitchen, pantry, butler's pantry, and mudroom. Each space was thoughtfully planned around the family's everyday routines, with organizational products and systems selected to maximize storage, improve visibility, and make frequently used items easier to access and maintain. In the mudroom, an existing cabinet was transformed into a family command center with dedicated spaces for each family member, grab-and-go items, paper management, note-taking supplies, and a charging station. By connecting the organization across these hardworking spaces, the finished home feels cohesive, functional, and easier to navigate throughout the day.

This dark, dreary kitchen was large, but not being used well. The family of 7 had outgrown the limited storage and experienced traffic bottlenecks when in the kitchen together. A bright, cheerful and more functional kitchen was desired, as well as a new pantry space. We gutted the kitchen and closed off the landing through the door to the garage to create a new pantry. A frosted glass pocket door eliminates door swing issues. In the pantry, a small access door opens to the garage so groceries can be loaded easily. Grey wood-look tile was laid everywhere. We replaced the small window and added a 6’x4’ window, instantly adding tons of natural light. A modern motorized sheer roller shade helps control early morning glare. Three free-floating shelves are to the right of the window for favorite décor and collectables. White, ceiling-height cabinets surround the room. The full-overlay doors keep the look seamless. Double dishwashers, double ovens and a double refrigerator are essentials for this busy, large family. An induction cooktop was chosen for energy efficiency, child safety, and reliability in cooking. An appliance garage and a mixer lift house the much-used small appliances. An ice maker and beverage center were added to the side wall cabinet bank. The microwave and TV are hidden but have easy access. The inspiration for the room was an exclusive glass mosaic tile. The large island is a glossy classic blue. White quartz countertops feature small flecks of silver. Plus, the stainless metal accent was even added to the toe kick! Upper cabinet, under-cabinet and pendant ambient lighting, all on dimmers, was added and every light (even ceiling lights) is LED for energy efficiency. White-on-white modern counter stools are easy to clean. Plus, throughout the room, strategically placed USB outlets give tidy charging options.

This compact mud room is very functional with drawers for bulky items, quad outlet with USB ports, top-mounted swivel coat hooks, ample shoe storage below the bench, and cubbies above. The coat closet was also done with double-hanging for additional storage. The charcoal cabinet stain contrasts nicely with the gray walls & durable porcelain floor tile. The angled, concrete subway tile is a fun touch.

Custom bench seating is the way to go for those who love to entertain! Extra seating allows guests to sit in the same room as the homeowners and everyone can enjoy the same conversation. Outlets can be added into the toe kick area of the cabinet so items can be charged while your sitting and relaxing or for the vacuum to be able to be plugged in for cleaning. Custom vent covers can also be built to match the cabinetry which helps to blend it in.
