My clients are techies and love their igadgets; phones, pads, laptops. However, noting their inventory with no dedicated space in the kitchen, I proposed and designed a drawer & station for the items. Who needs all iclutter on counter space when preparing dinner or having friends and guests over. The last thing you need is Virgin Olive Oil in your Apple Notebook.
I proposed a drawer design( Maple ) with a Maraham lining for the items to be stored and at the same-time charge in a neat little space out of the way. It was located just off the mud room, near the back door.
The charging drawer has all the plugs for the various items and winds its way though the cabinet and into a plug where the charger are stationed & hidden ( but accessible ).
I'm currently working on another drawer for another client who loves to have her iPad near-by in the kitchen for quick Google searches for Duck l'orange.

In a kitchen remodel that’s all about custom details, the charging station embedded in the island is one of the best. When devices need to be charged, but still kept close, it can be pulled up out of the countertop. When not needed, the charging station can be pushed down into a recess that’s perfectly flush with the island. In the distance, floating shelves and a transitional butler’s pantry display the client’s prized collections.
