Split rail fencing is a beautiful, traditional style of fence. It is one of the oldest styles of fence that is still manufactured and installed today. Why? Split rail fences are the best of everything. First, the are inexpensive because of the materials needed (basic wood slates and posts). Second, they can be put up in a very short amount of time. This is because the posts only need a three-step installation, making it more efficient. Third, they add a rustic look to all types of properties. We have installed split rail fencing on all types of properties - residential, farms, and more. They are a great option for keeping horse and livestock in a contained area also. We use different types of wood depending on the project we are working on. Not all wood is right for a split rail fence. You will want to go with something that is sturdy and weather-proof. We coat all of our wood with a special varnish clear-coat that keeps away termites and protects against harsh weather.

We built this grand farmhouse for a client who wanted simple luxury, and we accomplished that with large open spaces, bold beam features, welcoming porches, comfortable indoor/outdoor areas and high-end finishes. In 2017, the home was purchased by a young celebrity in the music business.

This homeowner had a very limited space to work with and they were worried it wouldn’t be possible to install a water feature in their yard at all! They were willing to settle for a small fountain when they called us, but we assured them we were up for this challenge in building them their dream waterscape at a larger scale than they could even imagine. We turned this steep hill and retaining wall into their own personal secret garden. We constructed a waterfall that looked like the home was built around and existed naturally in nature. Our experts in waterfall building and masonry were able to ensure the retaining wall continued to do it’s job of holding up the hillside and keeping this waterfall in place for a lifetime to come.

This cottage garden and perennial border needed to survive in an area with a heavy deer population. The client preferred a minimal electric fencing to a total enclosure so as to admire the successive blooms from her kitchen window.
