The original cabinets and flooring were kept, but the kitchen was elevated with several smart updates. Soft-close hidden hinges were added to the cabinet doors, and new brushed satin nickel pulls from TopKnobs brought a clean, modern look. Countertops were replaced with Arizona Tile’s Della Terra Quartz in the Ripieno Honed finish. Two waterfall ends and a backsplash wrapping into the window sides created a sleek, seamless look. A Kraus Turino sink and Delta Emmeline faucet were installed, along with a matching soap dispenser. Under-sink plumbing was also updated for proper function. To improve lighting and airflow, a new ceiling fan with silver blades and six LED bulbs was installed. Additionally, eight electrical devices were updated with white Decora-style outlets and switches for a more contemporary look. Bonnie also opted to install a new 30” GE electric cooktop with knob controls in stainless steel, placed right where the original was while keeping the wall mirror intact behind it.

Four custom floating shelves are spaced above a 3-inch countertop ledge: first shelf 18 inches above the ledge, second shelf 9 inches above that, third 18 inches above the second. The shelves are stained to match the cabinetry. The backsplash continues behind the shelves and behind the hood, so the wall reads as a continuous textured surface that the shelves and hood float in front of. The Appliances This is a serious cooking kitchen. The clients chose a 48-inch Wolf gas range, a Sub-Zero built-in refrigerator integrated into the cherry cabinet wall, a Wolf microwave drawer in the island base, and a Bosch dishwasher. For ventilation, we installed a 1200 CFM hood paired with a make-up air system to balance the negative pressure that hood pulls. New ducting was routed through the exterior siding on the side of the house. The Flooring MSI engineered hardwood throughout the entire main level — approximately 800 square feet — installed in a Bramlett herringbone pattern. A large deck-mounted bathtub occupied significant space and was never used by the homeowner. The existing cabinetry lacked proper storage and did not meet the client’s needs. To transform the space, we fully opened the shower area by removing the bulkhead and side wall, allowing for better light flow and ceiling height. The deck-mounted bathtub, old tile, and existing furniture were completely removed. The new walk-in shower features a linear drain with a non-threshold Schluter system, creating a seamless, clean look and improving accessibility. The custom glass enclosure was designed to maintain openness while defining the space. We installed a custom vanity to maximize storage and discreetly conceal electrical outlets, keeping the design streamlined and practical. This gorgeous custom wine cellar, designed and built by wine cellar design experts, Vintage Cellars, shows that you can outfit virtually any space to be a one of a kind, perfect place for wine storage. Below again is more individual bottle storage, sitting atop gorgeous Mediterranean style tile. The new owners of this 1974 Post and Beam home originally contacted us for help furnishing their main floor living spaces. But it wasn’t long before these delightfully open minded clients agreed to a much larger project, including a full kitchen renovation. They were looking to personalize their “forever home,” a place where they looked forward to spending time together entertaining friends and family. In a bold move, we proposed teal cabinetry that tied in beautifully with their ocean and mountain views and suggested covering the original cedar plank ceilings with white shiplap to allow for improved lighting in the ceilings. We also added a full height panelled wall creating a proper front entrance and closing off part of the kitchen while still keeping the space open for entertaining. Finally, we curated a selection of custom designed wood and upholstered furniture for their open concept living spaces and moody home theatre room beyond. * This project has been featured in Western Living Magazine.

Clients were wanting to expand their 50's era semi-bungalow to a full two storey so they could add one more bedroom and bathroom to their second level. Part of the plan was to create an actual master suite with proper ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet space. Phase one took the project to drywall stage, but later we added phase two where we finished the rest of the second level to finish stage along with a complete refresh of the main level with new finishings including flooring and counter-tops. The exterior of the home was also re-done including new windows, doors, and siding plus roof shingles of course. The result was a great and expanded character bungalow in a very desirable area located close to downtown.

The Porch House sits perched overlooking a stretch of the Yellowstone River valley. With an expansive view of the majestic Beartooth Mountain Range and its close proximity to renowned fishing on Montana’s Stillwater River you have the beginnings of a great Montana retreat. This structural insulated panel (SIP) home effortlessly fuses its sustainable features with carefully executed design choices into a modest 1,200 square feet. The SIPs provide a robust, insulated envelope while maintaining optimal interior comfort with minimal effort during all seasons. A twenty foot vaulted ceiling and open loft plan aided by proper window and ceiling fan placement provide efficient cross and stack ventilation. A custom square spiral stair, hiding a wine cellar access at its base, opens onto a loft overlooking the vaulted living room through a glass railing with an apparent Nordic flare. The “porch” on the Porch House wraps 75% of the house affording unobstructed views in all directions. It is clad in rusted cold-rolled steel bands of varying widths with patterned steel “scales” at each gable end. The steel roof connects to a 3,600 gallon rainwater collection system in the crawlspace for site irrigation and added fire protection given the remote nature of the site. Though it is quite literally at the end of the road, the Porch House is the beginning of many new adventures for its owners.

OUTDOOR LIVING | This is a custom outdoor grill we designed and built for a customer in Haile Plantation. They wanted to update their existing grill and add some additional storage and seating. We closed off the window to allow for a proper venting hood to be installed. We removed the pavers and poured a concrete base for the grill frame. The frame was covered in Durock and waterproofed and covered with wood look tile on the base and subway tile on the backsplash. Our friends at ArcadiaOutdoor supplied the Blaze grill, hood and accessories. We love the way this project turned out!

This custom wrought iron pool fence in Calera, OK provides the security and safety needed around a swimming pool while maintaining an attractive, open view. Stone Retaining Wall and Stair, Dry Laid. Stone was reused from the original wall, which was uneven and failing. Additional stone took great effort to source; quarries for the existing stone have long closed. An historic aesthetic was crucial. Garden proper was built in 2018; wall rebuilt in 2019.

Project: Full Ensuite Bathroom Renovation Location: Mississauga – Square One Area This full ensuite renovation focused on improving layout, comfort, and functionality. The original bathroom felt enclosed and outdated. The shower was dark, closed off, and had a low ceiling due to a bulkhead. A large deck-mounted bathtub occupied significant space and was never used by the homeowner. The existing cabinetry lacked proper storage and did not meet the client’s needs. To transform the space, we fully opened the shower area by removing the bulkhead and side wall, allowing for better light flow and ceiling height. The deck-mounted bathtub, old tile, and existing furniture were completely removed. The new walk-in shower features a linear drain with a non-threshold Schluter system, creating a seamless, clean look and improving accessibility. The custom glass enclosure was designed to maintain openness while defining the space. We installed a custom vanity to maximize storage and discreetly conceal electrical outlets, keeping the design streamlined and practical.
