I love the soothing color palette of this Master Bath. The arched alcove adds a huge impact to the space, and the two-person soaking tub is more spacious than expected. This basement bar is perfect for this large basement that includes two beds, a full bath, a huge family room and a full-equipped Theater room. To save the homeowner from carrying ice downstairs from the Kitchen, I suggested an ice maker. This home will see a lot of entertaining in this spacious walk-out basement. We took the tightly-packed previous bathroom and opened up the space to create a gracious and luxuriously appointed master bath.

This was turned into a little jewel in the house. We created an unusual vertical tile treatment behind the vanity and toilet to exaggerate the height in the otherwise small space. We also put in a spectacular metallicized natural cork wallcovering. The only other decorative detail was the leather magazine racks reflected in the mirror. It set a very warm but contemporary tone.

This space was meant to serve as a butler's pantry with pass-through to the Great Room, but there's plenty of storage in the Kitchen. Since this home is intended for a growing family, I decided the space would be put to better use as a computer/homework, close to by separate from the Kitchen.
