This is an addition done for a couple who wanted a first floor master bedroom suite. This was designed by Maria Wilson of Wilson Architecture + Design

Sand-colored Silestone countertops that make the shape of the white Alape sinks standout as a show piece. Chrome Grohe sink and bath fixtures add a modern rounded touch.
The unique rounded stone backsplash was a welcome addition to the design suggested by Craig Weber of Bridgewater Constriction. The couple used classic tan & grey towels to carry the color theme of the backsplash into the bathroom accessories.

The site is a single-story mid-century residence that fronts Urbana's historic Carle Park. The owners are an academic couple with a young family who originally wanted to replace their dilapidated garage with one that would also contain a family gym. After discussing their priorities, we decided to eliminate the garage altogether, and replace it with a two-story tower.
On the ground floor is a fully equipped gym, with a power rack, Peloton bike, treadmill, and bike storage. Above the gym is an office for Professor Clancy. The raised office has a striking view of the park, as well as the surrounding landscape.
Proximity to their university jobs allowed the family to reduce their vehicles to a single electric crossover. The tower includes an EV charger adjacent to the driveway

We added over 300 sq. ft. of living space to existing house and built a home gym for amazing couple Roslyn and Andre. We used same brick, shingles to make changes less visible.

A husband-and-wife couple purchased this 40-acre property from its original owner, an architect named Thornton Ladd. The main house, which Ladd designed, sits low and narrow along the property to provide views of the surrounding mountains. The design is simple and neutral to the landscape so the house can sit quietly on the hill.
The new owners wanted to add an area to the house for a quiet retreat that would also function as sleeping quarters for guests. The proposed addition is located where the original garage stood, in an area with the site’s most captivating views of the Topa Topa mountains. The proposed design, from the bedroom retreat to the exterior deck, embraces the natural landscape.

When our long-time VIP clients let us know they were ready to finish the basement that was a part of our original addition we were jazzed, and for a few reasons.
One, they have complete trust in us and never shy away from any of our crazy ideas, and two they wanted the space to feel like local restaurant Brick & Bourbon with moody vibes, lots of wooden accents, and statement lighting.
They had a couple more requests, which we implemented such as a movie theater room with theater seating, completely tiled guest bathroom that could be "hosed down if necessary," ceiling features, drink rails, unexpected storage door, and wet bar that really is more of a kitchenette.
So, not a small list to tackle.
Alongside Tschida Construction we made all these things happen.

A couple that entertains for both business and pleasure wanted a grand room that would receive their guests in style, but also double as a sunny spot where the two of them could enjoy the view of their picturesque pool and garden. Energy-efficient floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with sunshine, illuminating decorative beams and moulding. A highly polished cedar floor reflects light from every angle, while a chandelier composed of wrought iron and gleaming crystals hangs from a coffered ceiling. The addition blends seamlessly with the existing home.

This first floor master suite addition has made it possible for this couple to remain in their home. Wood Wise aging-in-place specialist Kathy Walker carefully designed a comfortable sitting room and large accessible bathroom. The bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, transom windows, and opens to the outside. The outdoor living space includes a screened porch and deck.

This brand new home has a lovely kitchen, but not quite enough storage space for this amazing cook! So we created additional cabinetry adjacent to the kitchen island, that would be a wonderful organizational, storage, coffee, and serving area. This extra space was the icing on the cake for a beautiful home and for this amazing couple who love to cook and entertain. We used custom cabinets with bi-fold doors that swing all the way back and out of the way. Glass uppers to show off some beautiful glass collections, reclaimed wood counter top and tin back-splash. The cabinet finish is white paint with a dark chocolate glaze. Beautiful, yet amazingly functional in so many ways.

The bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, transom windows, and opens to the outside. The outdoor living space includes a screened porch and deck.

Our clients were expecting their first child and needed to make room. They decided to convert their existing master bedroom into a nursery and create a peaceful retreat for themselves by building an addition off the back of their home. Our journey together began with detailed planning, working closely with the architect to design a master bedroom suite that would offer comfort and functionality. Every aspect, from the room's layout to the bathroom's design, was carefully considered.
Budgeting was the next crucial step. We worked closely with our expectant clients to select high-quality materials while keeping costs within reach, ensuring the project stayed on track financially.
Construction started by preparing the site and laying a solid foundation. The team then moved on to framing the walls and installing plenty of windows to create a private wooded bedroom retreat. We added skylights to the beautiful vaulted ceiling so the couple could lie in bed and view the night sky. Attention to detail was paramount throughout the process.
Finally, the finishing touches brought the vision to life. An en suite, curbless shower, custom interior doors, paint, and luxury vinyl plank flooring were installed precisely as planned.
The new master bedroom suite provided the perfect sanctuary for the growing family.
