Foundation Wall Cracks
Foundation wall cracks are the most common source of seepage in residential basements across CT and RI. Some of the common causes of these cracks are structure settling, concrete shrinkage or poor site conditions related to soil type and compaction, drainage or concrete strength. Most wall cracks are small in nature and typically pose no structural risk. Some horizontal cracks may reveal a more serious issue and may require crack repair from a structural engineer. Locating the cause of the problem and understanding the cracking pattern is the key to a successful repair.
Our crack repair specialists are trained in many repair procedures.

This guest bathroom, uses a modern board-and-batten design that runs halfway up the wall, painted in Behr's sophisticated Color of the Year, Cracked Peppercorn. The deep, moody gray creates a striking contrast and anchors the room. Above the paneling, the walls are finished in a soft, neutral cream, adding warmth and balance. A subtle dark floral pattern is incorporated into the wallpaper, tying in beautifully with the rich tones of the Cracked Peppercorn below, creating a cohesive and stylish space that feels both modern and welcoming.

Mapeguard 2 - Uncoupling membrane
Our crew is beginning prep work on a 1,600 Sq. Ft floor today. After extensive grinding and leveling work they are almost complete with the uncoupling membrane installation. On this project we are using Mapei's Mapeguard 2 membrane which will stop any floor cracks up to 3/8s of an inch from transferring to the tile. This home had many large cracks and out of plane fractures on the existing concrete slab. This membrane will ensure our client never has to deal with cracked tile!

Standard Sealcoating recently completed a comprehensive driveway sealcoating project in Oxford, Massachusetts, which included essential crack filling and repair services. In Oxford, our process began with a meticulous assessment of the driveway's condition, pinpointing and addressing any cracks or imperfections that could undermine its structural integrity. Our expert team skillfully filled and repaired these cracks, ensuring a smooth and uniform surface. Following the repair work, we applied a premium sealcoat to the entire driveway, resulting in a rich, jet-black finish. This process not only enhanced the driveway's aesthetic appeal but also provided a durable protective layer against the elements. The result was a beautifully restored and fortified driveway in Oxford, significantly boosting the curb appeal and longevity of the homeowner's property.
