Cat Neitzey from Reico Kitchen & Bath in Fredericksburg, VA designed a modern and accessible primary bathroom remodel featuring Merillat Classic cabinetry. The bathroom cabinets are the Lanielle door style in a Whisper finish, complemented by hardware from the Jeffrey Alexander Alvar Collection. The countertop is MSI Frost White quartz, accompanied by black fixtures from the Kohler Tempered Collection. The bathroom also includes Atlas Tile Grespania Trivoli 12x24 wall & floor tile, as well as Pan Lungarno Nero Penny with Nero Chevron Accent tile. Cat expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to work on this project. "The style the clients brought to the table was so fun, and the showroom appointments were creative and interesting. This fully accessible renovation in a multi-generational home addressed practical concerns with standard construction. Meeting accessibility guidelines and ensuring proper installation were our top priorities. I love that we were able to achieve that while incorporating choices both dramatic and modern and clean and elegant." Photos courtesy of Tim Snyder Photography.

Living Room: Our customer wanted to update the family room and the kitchen of this 1970's splanch. By painting the brick wall white and adding custom built-ins we brightened up the space. The decor reflects our client's love for color and a bit of asian style elements. We also made sure that the sitting was not only beautiful, but very comfortable and durable. The sofa and the accent chairs sit very comfortably and we used the performance fabrics to make sure they last through the years. We also wanted to highlight the art collection which the owner curated through the years. Kithen: We enlarged the kitchen by removing a partition wall that divided it from the dining room and relocated the entrance. Our goal was to create a warm and inviting kitchen, therefore we selected a mellow, neutral palette. The cabinets are soft Irish Cream as opposed to a bright white. The mosaic backsplash makes a statement, but remains subtle through its beige tones. We selected polished brass for the hardware, as well as brass and warm metals for the light fixtures which emit a warm and cozy glow. For beauty and practicality, we used quartz for the working surface countertops and for the island we chose a sophisticated leather finish marble with strong movement and gold inflections. Because of our client’s love for Asian influences, we selected upholstery fabric with an image of a dragon, chrysanthemums to mimic Japanese textiles, and red accents scattered throughout. Functionality, aesthetics, and expressing our clients vision was our main goal. Photography: Jeanne Calarco, Context Media Development

Client purchased an older home and wanted to achieve an uncluttered, modern and bright kitchen that complimented the traditional elements of the home. Blue-gray base cabinets feel fresh while helping to ground and soften the crisp white of surrounding subway tile, quartz counter tops and upper cabinets. Simple Shaker style custom cabinets, stainless steel appliances and sink complete the chef inspired classic yet modern feel.

Step into an inviting entryway that exudes warmth and elegance, featuring beautiful oak wood floors that set the stage for a grand entrance. As you ascend the staircase, sleek black metal railings guide you to the second floor with a touch of modern sophistication. A striking arc-shaped frameless passage opens up to reveal the living room, showcasing captivating modern art pieces adorning the walls. Each artwork adds a pop of color and creativity to the space, setting the tone for the artistic ambience that awaits. Beneath the art display, a cozy bench with brown leather upholstery invites you to take a moment to relax and unwind. Its plush cushioning provides comfort, making it the perfect spot to pause and admire the artistic expression around you. Adding to the charm of the entryway, a special brown wood dresser with wood round handles stands gracefully. Its unique design and craftsmanship add a touch of timeless beauty to the space, offering both storage and style. On top of the dresser, a carefully arranged display of flowers and candles fills the air with a delightful aroma, creating a welcoming and serene ambiance. Amongst the elegant arrangement, a stachu (presumably a statue) adds a touch of elegance and cultural significance, becoming a focal point in the entryway. This well-curated entry to the house is more than just a pathway; it is a reflection of your style and personality. The combination of oak wood floors, black metal railings, modern art, and thoughtful decor creates an impressive and inviting space that leaves a lasting impression on anyone who steps through the door.
