For this project, our client came to us looking for a full-service company to build a custom, high-efficient new home with minimal exterior maintenance. In order to achieve this, we used a different medium of product, including split-faced concrete block to natural cedar siding, both of which require zero maintenance. The design throughout was congruent with the contemporary farmhouse aesthetic and highly-efficient goal of the client and adhering to the energy standards of Efficiency Vermont. A few of the features included a finished concrete floor, a cutting-edge wood-fired boiler system to efficiently heat the home.

Added a spa to this old pool then completed the pool and spa with an all tile interior. Spa is extra long to accomodate swim jets to be an endless pool for swimming in place. Color LED lights enhance the beauty. New travertine deck was added and a beautiful pizza oven and BBQ unit

A collaboration two years in the works, this carnal creation comprises two designs—TAME and XXX—both conceived by Michael Reynolds, Hoffman Creative and the Tom of Finland Foundation. A bold and ballsy tribute to the dynamic graphite and pencil drawings of Touko Laaksonen (aka Tom of Finland), the famed renegade Finnish artist known for his stylized homoerotic art and its profound effect on late twentieth century gay culture and fetish lifestyle. From cops, cowboys and bikers, to sailors, lumberjacks and leather men — there’s a little something (and then some) for everyone. That-a-boy! Michael Reynolds is a New York-based creative director, curator, editorial stylist, book editor and design consultant. He is the US Editor of Wallpaper* Magazine and Editor at Large for Architectural Digest USA. His first book, TOM HOUSE – Tom of Finland in Los Angeles, is available through Rizzoli Publications. Eric Hoffman founded Hoffman Creative a decade ago in New York, a firm creating brand identities for a range of clients with an ethos rooted in psychology and emotional intelligence. Doing a remodel with the thought of long term should always be in mind. So when doing this project i knew i didn't want grout in the shower, then what are my options for something that looks timeless, would stand up to years of soaps, shampoo and still look great in years to come. I had seen these sheets of porcelain from Spain at a trade show a number of years ago, it seemed that for my own bath it was a good project to give them a try. These are available in different sizes and thicknesses and i am really happy with them. The cast iron bath tub with an antiqued chrome wrap is the Whitby from Penhaglion, it sits in front of the window which has an opaque small patterned film covering the once clear glass. The bath and sink faucets, come from Penhaglion, that I have to say is an amazing company to work with. Heated floors in the bath and shower area as well as a Toto toilet, all pulled together with a vintage sideboard that was refinished to suite the plumbing of the 2 drop in sinks. Air assisted rain head, wall and hand held shower with an oversize niche make for a great showering experience. Susan Brook Interiors
