J Designs Created this turnkey ski chalet located in Vail Colorado is a house full of primary colors and unique custom pieces. The house is laid out over five stories with a vertical feel and a central staircase connecting everything. To break up the thoroughfare we added a funky striped runner that leads you through the spaces and adds a unique pop of texture and color. Throughout the house each space is full of custom designed furniture pieces by J Designs, mixed with an extensive art collection and a stunning view. + The original architecture and finishes of the chalet were by Interior Design Hall of Fame member Orlando Diaz-Azcuy. J Designs worked to create spaces that were full of color but also played nicely with the white oak paneled walls and the slate floors. + The great room was transformed into the heart of the house, with lounging, dining and a nice area for playing games and relaxing on a custom curving bench, the perfect place for watching skiers come down the mountain through the full height windows overlooking Vail Mountain. + I was inspired by the colors of the bathrooms which helped to create cohesiveness in the bedrooms and to determine the color palette for each room. + In the lower level we transformed an unused workout room into a movie room that has a big enough sofa for the whole family with extra floor cushions for any guests.

All Weather teamed up with the Property Brothers and Friend’s Alumnus Lisa Kudrow on this week’s episode of HGTV’s hit show Celebrity IOU. In the Lisa Kudrow’s Stunning Condo Surprise episode, Lisa stuns her deserving cousin and best friend Thea, by transforming her condo into a stylish, functional and animal friendly home for the rescued abused animals she cares for. Lisa not only helped the brothers come up with design ideas, but also picked up a sledgehammer and an electric saw to help them break up a wall. She also helped them kick down a dividing wall and pull tiles off the fireplace. After both of Thea’s parents passed away suddenly, she channeled her grief in meaningful ways, namely by caring for abused shelter pets. Lisa wanted to make sure Thea knew she was loved Renovating her outdated condo was the perfect gift. “Thea has spent the last few years navigating loss,” said Lisa. “She needs a soft place to land.” Lisa added. “She needs a functional space that’s safe and comfortable for the pets she loves.” Besides modernizing Thea’s outdated condo, the focus was to make everything pet friendly in the remodeled the living room, dining room and outdoor patio. From premium vinyl plank flooring, to performance fabric furniture, to an outdoor dog run and pet potty platform. All Weather Series 8100 Multi Slide Doors effortlessly connect the indoors to the outdoors allowing Thea’s four legged friends to explore the pet friendly outdoor patio. The magnificent makeover includes a custom built pantry, new modern fireplace, more storage, an open living room floor plan, pet friendly floating shelves and bench seating and slat wall shading. Lisa did join THE PROPERTY BROTHERS to sing her famous song Smelly Cat from the beloved sitcom Friends. ‘I’m just embarrassed I did such a poor job with Smelly Cat,’ Lisa added. ‘I should have just let Drew do it.” Now in its third season, Celebrity IOU gives celebrities a chance to show their deepest gratitude and to surprise someone who is important in their life by giving their living space a complete transformation, courtesy of the Drew and Jonathan Scott.

Marino General Contracting explained that the goal of this renovation was to bring the original elements of the 10,000 square foot Vancouver home and 4.25 acre lot to a level of fit and finish in keeping with the contemporary, high end renovations. The exterior underwent a massive transformation: the lower property, a marshland filled with brambles and coyote paths were transformed into a golf course and patio. They noted that as the scope increased dramatically, it was important to manage client expectations regarding budget and timelines. As well, with no architect, the design team relied heavily on each other.

When our clients approached us to renovate their 1950s Newfoundland home, their goal was to modernize while reflecting both their West Coast roots and current East Coast lifestyle. What began as a simple ensuite repair expanded into a full home transformation, completed in two thoughtfully phased renovations. Drawing from our cross-coastal experience—and a personal connection to the home’s past—we blended classic East Coast charm with West Coast simplicity. From reworking the layout and finishes to integrating their art collection and layering in warm, tactile materials, every detail was designed to feel cohesive, inviting, and deeply personal.

A rustic cabin is transformed from a catch-all to a cozy and inviting family Skate Cabin. Complete with a fridge, wood burning stove and lots of storage for all the skates.

The renovation of this classic Muskoka cottage, focused around re-designing the living space to make the most of the incredible lake views. This update completely changed the flow of space, aligning the living areas with a more modern & luxurious living context. In collaboration with the client, we envisioned a home in which clean lines, neutral tones, a variety of textures and patterns, and small yet luxurious details created a fresh, engaging space while seamlessly blending into the natural environment. The main floor of this home was completely gutted to reveal the true beauty of the space. Main floor walls were re-engineered with custom windows to expand the client’s majestic view of the lake. The dining area was highlighted with features including ceilings finished with Shadowline MDF, and enhanced with a custom coffered ceiling bringing dimension to the space. Unobtrusive details and contrasting textures add richness and intrigue to the space, creating an energizing yet soothing interior with tactile depth.
