In this view of the rear of the home, you can see how the gutters stand out in direct light. We find that guests notice and ask about copper gutters because they look different than what people normally see.
There is more visible in this picture. The home went too long without gutter maintenance. You can see signs of damage to windows and trim from previous leaks and overflows. Contractors repaired this damage, and the homeowner chose copper gutters for more than their beauty. The material's longevity will help prevent future occurrences of this kind of damage.
This downspout ends over unprotected yard. The block below protects the soil. It prevents impact and channels rainwater away from the home's foundation.

PROTECTION FROM HURRICANE-FORCE WINDS, RAIN, SALT AND SUN
Just as it’s important to choose the right new or replacement windows for your home or business, it’s equally important to choose the right doors. Selecting your doors’ material is your first decision, which can have a tremendous impact on the cost. Be aware that some materials, like fiberglass, may cost more than others. You’ll also want to look for energy-efficient materials to help you cut down on energy costs.
While they may require a higher initial investment, high-impact hurricane doors are specially designed to withstand heavy winds, rain, moisture, salt and sun. Whether you’re worried about the damages caused by hurricane-force winds, flying debris or Florida’s year-round direct sunlight, high-impact hurricane doors offer continuous protection and peace of mind, so all you have to worry about after installation is how you’re going to enjoy all that sunshine!

Cork flooring is incredibly resilient. The resiliency is born of corks structure, which allows it to “bounce” back from heavy pressure. This contributes to the durability because it allows the floor to naturally resist damage from scratching and denting due to impact and friction. The elastic walls perform like springs and lend help in the time of expansion and contraction, before returning to its natural shape.

For this roof replacement in Philadelphia, PA, we replaced the home'es existing 25-year-old shingles with a new standing seam metal roof. The home's shingles took damage from a tree falling as well, so the homeowners were looking to for a significant improvement to durability as well as energy efficiency. The home's new standing seam metal roof is actually built to resist hurricane-level winds and debris impacts. On top of that, the metal reflects heat back to the source, meaning lower heating and cooling costs down the line.

This is a view of the loggia that was added to the rear of the home. In order to preserve the oak tree, the loggia structure was elevated above the ground on heilical piles at each corner. The structure has a raised floor system to avoid damage to the tree roots. The homeowners knew it was time to update their siding and windows.
