The homeowners chose a different latch and lock for their side yard gate. They chose the Nero Contemporary Lever Latch and Square Modern Style Deadbolt in black.
The Nero Contemporary Lever Gate Latch is a self-latching gate latch and is crafted of Stainless Steel and aluminum, then powder coated satin black for protection against the elements. The lever handles are spring-loaded for smooth operation.

custom front entry door in Sapele Mahogany, but field painted. Two decorative ring pull bars, one small deadbolt, all in brass. Did you know you don't have to have traditional entry door hardware? Sometimes it can be more cost effective to forego tubular entry sets and have a single deadbolt, pulls, roller catches, and cremone bolts installed. (Depending on your selections, of course.)
The windows are operable casements that are wood primed. Window and Door Pros, LLC of Charlotte was pleased to partner with Urban Building Group on this project!

The homeowners undertook a large project to completely renovate the exterior of this contemporary home in Thousand Oaks, California.
They created an enclosed entry courtyard, and used the Moda Stainless Steel Contemporary Gate Latch. They added a stainless steel deadbolt for security as it was an entry courtyard. The design included some privacy glass in the doors to allow light through and to provide a sense of welcoming to guests. The gates were made of sapele. A gap of ¼-inch was left between the two doors.
The Moda Latch is no longer available, but the Alta Latch is available and has much the same design.

This is a custom Sapele Mahogany entry door that was field painted. Note the sill or threshold varies from the common aluminum ones. Decorative door pulls and roller catches were used instead of traditional tubular or mortised entry door hardware. A deadbolt was still utilized. Surface or Cremone Bolts are an alternative option to provide security from the interior instead of traditional hardware.
