View from the bed in the guest room. Antique European pine cupboard found at an antique store in Portland, as was the life preserver. Paper tree and bird cage were gifts from a dear friend, artwork on the wall by a Canadian artist. Stuffed wiener dog, ironstone bowl and round mirror were antique fair finds while the hooks are Restoration Hardware.

Our dear friend Delores used to refer to this section as "the lower 40 acres" Quite tongue in cheek considering our property is about a quarter of an acre! Such a great place to sit for a cool breeze. Karen La Du for Decorative Philosophy

BEFORE 3: The wall by the window was the old non-used entry and was removed. Now two easy chairs are in front of the window which faces south. All soffets and the left wall were torn out. Dan and I volunteered our time for tearing out and painting since they are our dear friends.

A fireplace will change the way a space is used but an artistic and unique one will change the whole house. I dedicate this fireplace to Frank Deterichs a dear and inspiring friend. He and I designed this together years ago and I modified it for this client years after he passed.

This fabulous kitchen remodel in Towson held a very special place in my heart. This is my dear friend's kitchen. We knocked down a wall and expanded her kitchen and created a large and very functional island to accommodate her family and create a gathering space for hosting. I was thrilled when we chose this lovely sage green color. My friend is thrilled with her new space!

I love this bathroom! My dear friend and client is an amazing artist herself. Her oil painting looks amazing in the space and further invites the outdoors in. The mix between glamorous style and an eccentric artistic flare makes this bathroom an experience to be in!
