Adirondacks Style We have done a fair amount of Adirondacks style furniture and kitchens over the years. We usually do a more primitive style cabinet. The design additions are usually willow twigging, birch bark, horn hardware and funky paint colors and paint combos. We make and paint the cabinets in our shop and we do simple twig, bark and horn work. I have Adirondacks artists friends that I can call upon to do the more involved work shown in these photos if that is what you would like.

This gorgeous buffet with double door, rattan baskets and four drawers is the kind of furniture you want in your kitchen or dining area. The white painted mahogany with the nice antique look hardware is so good looking it will complement and uplift the settings in any room. Young, fresh, romantic and modern – this piece of furniture is made out of mahogany, a hardwood from plantation grown timber, coated with a white distressed finish which makes maintenance easy. For spots and dust just wiping the buffet with a damp towel will do the job and keep it nice for many years to come. Very well put together, the dimensions of this counter are not only right for larger areas. With a width of just over 49” and a depth of not quite 20” it will find a spot in a small kitchen or dining area. The height of 33 ½” is just right to set plates and bowls on it and cut or serve the prepared meals. The quality and craftsmanship of this product is excellent as only high grade material and machinery is used to ensure consistency and quality. The combination of antique hardware look and the smooth layer of semi-gloss white paint is easy to maintain and delivers a classy feel and ambience to every home. Home design - contemporary home design idea in New York

19th century Louis XV style French polychromed armoire of demi-cartouche section; the arched and molded pediment carved with curling acanthus and roses; the single door inset with a nicely shaped and fully bevelled mirror. Rounded sides inset with shaped panels, the tendril carved aprons centred by flowers and leaves evolving into acanthus carved cabriole legs. Overall coloring of the armoire is a deep rich blue with wonderful aged patina. There is some flecking of the polychrome, the silvering some-what degraded as to be expected of its age. The mirror shows great aged patina, with some age to the mirror with dark grey age spots at the top. See photos, or request additional photos. Our clients came to us with a dream to create a home that was beautiful, filled with classic details yet embody a Modern French aesthetic. We started with the foundation, selecting materials that would be the building blocks for our design. One of the joys of this project was the client's love of color, primarily in hues of blue. A special moment in the kitchen with its jewel-like Azul Macauba Quartzite countertop, brass hardware, and sailor’s coat blue island. As we are designing for a family, practical touches along with luxury elements were a must. Creative thinking was used to reimagine the entry closet into a multi-purpose space including the laundry, drop zone, and pantry. The master bath was filled with a classic design from the scones, wallcoverings to crystal hardware...all to transport you to a french apartment overlooking the streets of Paris. A modern twist inserted was the approach for the family room fireplace. The clean lines of stacked stone were the perfect touch. Our clients' dream home became reality in our Modern French Project and will be loved for years to come.

Inspiration for a modern bathroom remodel in Los Angeles

Our client came to us with the idea of renovating some of the rooms for their three growing children, twin boys and a girl, in this apartment on Riverside Drive with breath-taking views of the Hudson River. The original bedrooms were crowded with built-in pieces and the boys used to share one room. As their needs are changing as they grow, our clients wanted to renovate their childish bedrooms and give them new bedrooms for each one of them that would still feel ‘updated’ and ‘grown up’ for many more years to come. A previously room used as a Den, was transformed into a bedroom for one of the boys, while the other one kept the original bedroom. Both spaces have similar materials and fabrics, but each has a color scheme that was developed from the kids’ favorite colors, the built-in desk, shelving and platform bed in dark mahogany gives the rooms a more masculine and grown up feel. The girl’s room was a very small and odd space with angled walls; to make the room more square and symmetrical, a new desk with shelves, built-in closet, night-stand and platform bed were installed around the perimeter of the room. This layout allowed for additional space for a reading chair, floor lamp and side table. The color palette for this bedroom was also based on the girl’s favorite colors: purple and green, which were wisely used over a background of cream color used throughout the cabinetry and carpet to avoid feeling overwhelming in the small space. Most of the vertical surfaces in all three rooms were covered in a tackable material so they could display posters and school work, yet the textile wall covering gives the walls a very elegant feel when the posters come off.
