A master bedroom design for a lovely home in Toronto Beaches. I wanted to make our client feel relaxed with soft tones in the bedding, walls, and the overall decor. We used two decorative mirror styles and placed them strategically to create a focal point on the headboard wall. What's great about the mirrors is they are beautiful and a cost-effective. We expanded an existing deck with new stairs, railing, decking, deck board design, lighting, complete with all post and beam wraps. All decking you see is Zuri decking with Timbertech Rail Systems. We installed riser lights up the stairs with post caps on top of all posts.

Exterior forms are emphasized with glass and fiber-cement panels at the top level, soaring over and sheltering containers clad in tougher, leathery Corten Steel at the ground level. Exposed concrete walls and rock-filled gabion retaining was selected to anchor the partially day-lighted basement level and garages to the land. Materials were chosen to be low-maintenance, relatively inexpensive, and to contrast the volumes that express the interior spaces.

Custom gate was built wrong by the previous contractor. It was not built to withstand the La Jolla climate. It rotted quickly. So we removed the gate and rebuilt it from scratch. We applied two things to help protect this gate from future damage: 1. We epoxied the top edges. 2. We applied a metal drip edge on the top of the gate to resist moisture.
