Working closely with the builder, Madrone Construction, and the home owners, Patty Jones of Patty Jones Design, LLC selected and designed interior finishes for this custom home which features Sapele wood cabinetry, Hubbardton Forge Light Fixtures, modern cabinetry, and solid slab counter tops. Patty also selected exterior finishes – stain and paint colors, stone, roof color, etc. Patty was involved early through the initial planning working with the home architectural designer, Joey Shaw of Homeland Designs, LLC including preparing the presentation board and documentation for the Architectural Review Committee. All materials and products were sourced locally.

He first confirmed the client’s intent through a 3D Revit model. rendered then enhanced with Photoshop. Mark then produced all construction documents, refining the design intent into architectural expression.

Project Type: Full House Remodel Client Type: Builder Overview: We were commissioned by our clients over at Housekick to create a set of design plans and provide our standard visualization package. The crew over at Housekick builds/renovates and sells over forty houses a year in the Raleigh Triangle area, so having an efficient construction process and the ability to pre-sell their properties is crucial to their business model. Because of our extensive experience with interior design, real estate, and construction projects, they rely on us to come up with complete design plans from start to finish and then use these to build and pre-sell their projects. Original Conditions: This typical 1970’s choppy split-level house was e “functionally obsolete,” had three bedrooms, two baths, and no real master suite before we got our hands on it. Changes: Upon completion, the home had four bedrooms, three full baths, a full master suite, and an open floorplan with modern architectural details. The Result: Because of our design plans and visualizations, our clients were able to create a stunning property that was functionally current, appealed to the correct demographic, and wowed potential buyers resulting in the home selling before it ever hit the market!

The unique joining system of our ThinkingWall whiteboards is normally used to create large whiteboards from multiple panels resulting in one continuous surface. The same joining system was adapted to create the corner whiteboard for this project so that one side fits into the other to leave only a very fine joining seam between the two. As with all ThinkingWalls the corner whiteboard features a high quality, long lasting drywipe and magnetic receptive surface. It allows notes to be easily written and wiped away when no longer required whilst the magnetic receptive qualities mean photos, drawings, paper and other documents can be pinned magnetically to the surface. All ThinkingWalls are made to measure and we have produced them in sizes ranging from under a metre to long runs of 12 metres and everything in between. We are always happy to advise on the best and most efficient use space to help plan a solution that suits the requirements, needs and budget of a client. The table in the breakfast nook was custom made based on the original design found in the existing set of construction documents. We had wheels installed into the base and a latch mechanism so that the table could be easily removed for cleaning. We used Advance Benjamin Moore high gloss paint for the woodwork.
