No detail of this mountain home’s powder room was overlooked. Calling to mind the Old World, a custom taupe limestone sink is set against a backdrop of grey tongue and groove wainscot topped with ivory plaster. The traditional wall-mount faucet in oil rubbed bronze is by Rohl. The quatrefoil design of the custom towel bar adds interest and offers a spot to hang hand towels. Peppering the space with contrast are iron wall sconces, mirror and chandelier. Reflected in the mirror is a window painted Sherwin Williams Black Fox. A woven shade hangs in the window providing privacy and texture.

My biggest embarrassment is Joan Crawford-esque plastic on every part of our upholstered furniture that Nacho can get his jaws around. We spent hours pinning it to all the upholstered furniture in the house after the cat savaged our old couch.

I’m slightly embarrassed about not having a glamorous coffee table here. But the sole purpose of this room is putting up our feet and watching movies, so we had to go for comfort. Nacho doesn’t care either way!

Two sisters needed to leave their "playroom" days behind and wanted a cool hang out for them and their friends...This space allows them to watch TV, work on Craft projects, play games all in a sophisticated "tween" space.

Sometimes, the smallest projects are the most rewarding. I designed this small front porch for a client in Fort Mitchell, KY. My client lived for years with a ragged front porch and awning embarrassed by her front entry. We refurbished and extended the concrete stoop, added a new hand rail, and most importantly a new covered entry. The design enhances the architecture of the house welcoming guests and keeping them dry. Pictures By: Ashli Slawter

Before renovating, this bright and airy family kitchen was small, cramped and dark. The dining room was being used for spillover storage, and there was hardly room for two cooks in the kitchen. By knocking out the wall separating the two rooms, we created a large kitchen space with plenty of storage, space for cooking and baking, and a gathering table for kids and family friends. The dark navy blue cabinets set apart the area for baking, with a deep, bright counter for cooling racks, a tiled niche for the mixer, and pantries dedicated to baking supplies. The space next to the beverage center was used to create a beautiful eat-in dining area with an over-sized pendant and provided a stunning focal point visible from the front entry. Touches of brass and iron are sprinkled throughout and tie the entire room together.

By installing White Macaubas Quartzite countertops, these homeowner's were able to obtain the look of marble without its porous qualities and maintenance. These natural stone countertops complement the polished Calacata Gold marble and glass Toledo pattern mosaic tile backsplash wonderfully, making it stand out like an art piece.
We partnered with DPM Designs, LLC of Medford, NJ on this project.

"Tom is a miracle worker! He miraculously changed our embarrassing, eye-sore of a backyard into our personal paradise! As we watch with amazement we realize that he designed and planted the yard in such a way that something new begins to bloom and blossom just as something else passes blooming peak. North, south, east or west, there is a spectacular and beautiful vision! Thank you, Tom!"
