The homeowners of this California Cottage wanted a beach vibe in their 1700 sq. ft. home. They wanted to make the most of their spaces by widening doorways, adding wood floors throughout the house, and adding a skylight. The result is cozy, casual California living at its best with frequent family dinners and celebrations with friends.

A fireplace is one of the most time-tested home essentials, but even something tried and true needs a facelift from time to time. Depending on the style of your home, there are endless options for updating. It can be as simple as adding adding a new tile or trim border, but if you’re looking to go a bit further, making the fireplace the centerpiece of your living room is a great option. It can draw the attention and energy of your family and guests, and be a central area of congregation – warm, stylish and glowing. Some styles we love are a natural stone surrounds, addition of thick antique trims, and use of refurbished wood, or sleek, contemporary tiles. If you have a gas fireplace, there are other options such as raising the fireplace off the floor to waist level or creating an elongated fireplace area, both of which will have a focal point effect on the room.

Minimalism is a movement that flowed from popular art to home design and is still regarded as one of the most innovative styles around. That's why Globe Electric created the Holden Lamp Collection. The clean lines are perfect for a small sized micro apartment creating a statement without taking up a lot of space while the tall stature allows Holden to work well in a larger living space too. Heralded as the King of metallics, matte brass is ideal for adding the perfect metallic accent anywhere at home. Have fun! Try adding a super trendy oversized bulb to place in your living room or a charming vintage Edison bulb is for a bedroom. Every room should have a Holden Lamp in it and with a variety of different finishes the options are endless!

With a focus on public spaces, we nearly all forget to prioritize our own personal space, which ends up being our bedrooms. For this project – a master bedroom, our client lovingly made it a priority, requesting that we help them feel great there. That should always be the goal of any space – period. But for a master bed, good design adds tenderness to that feeling. By opening up the space and brightening it with a beautiful color palette of grays, linens, whites and blues, this room now feels calm and well-tended to. A large upholstered king bed, keeps pace with the room’s proportions and provides comfort to any type of sleeper. Two pairs of large euro shams, allow for an endless array of comfortable positioning regardless of personal preference and a custom built in, keeps a television put away when not in use. Scaled to directionalize the room, the built in gathers favorite things and provides endless storage for blankets or extra clothing. I added a broad set of French doors, to ensure ready access to the outside deck, which sits stunningly on the lake. Now bright and in tune with the architecture, the inside outside connection is beautifully highlighted. Custom window panels and shade, give this room its personality and play to my strong sense of color and pattern mixing and a low chaise, gives a reader another cozy place for a nap. Ultimately personalized to reflect a happy and relaxed space, this master bedroom is ready to make anyone feel really at home.

Refreshed & Refined
Sometimes the best transformations begin with good bones. In this project, we reimagined a dated 90's kitchen, dinette, and living space with a thoughtful refresh - proving that impactful change doesn’t always require a full renovation.
An awkwardly placed three-sided fireplace was removed and replaced with a custom built-in feature wall, creating a strong focal point for the open-concept space. The existing cabinetry was refaced, while additional cabinets and a new island were added to improve storage, flow, and everyday usability.
The entire space was updated in a warm neutral palette, accented with subtle green and blue tones the homeowners love. The result is a fresh, timeless space designed to be enjoyed for years to come.

We reimagined this great room with a modern fireplace renovation and thoughtful interior updates, turning it into a warm and welcoming space perfect for relaxing or entertaining. The original brick fireplace was replaced with a sleek, contemporary surround, creating a clean focal point beneath the vaulted ceiling. Custom built-in cabinetry offers functional storage while adding architectural interest. Soft neutral furnishings, cozy layered textiles, and abstract artwork bring comfort and style to this family-friendly living room. Ideal for movie nights, reading, or hosting guests, this great room now balances everyday livability with timeless design—showcasing our signature blend of form and function in residential interior design.

The aged mansard has almost been forgotten and abundant. With interesting internal geometry and the grand focal point of a centrally placed window, the quirky design opportunities were endless.
The idea was to play with the complex geometry of the mansard’s walls, angles and most importantly the sharp ceiling drop. An optical illusion effect of black and white stripes has been adapted to even out sharp angles of the walls, giving the mansard an airy feel.
The mansards balance is maintained by parallel white walls, which offset the optical illusion effect. Oak furnishings and flooring bring the final soft touch to the cool interior of the mansard, adding just enough warmth to make it feel homely again.
