This family throws some mean parties where large crowds usually sit at the poolside. There’s an entire section of this walk out second level that is dedicated to entertaining which also gives access to the pool in the backyard. This place comes alive at night with built in surround sounds and LED lights. There was just one issue. The kitchen. The kitchen did not fit in. It was old, outdated, out-styled and nonfunctional. They knew the kitchen had to be address eventually but they just didn’t want to redo the kitchen. They wanted to revamp the kitchen, so they asked us to come in and look at the space to see how we can design this second floor kitchen in their New Rochelle home. It was a small kitchen, strategically located where it could be the hub that the family wanted it to be. It held its own amongst everything that was in the open space like the big screen TV, fireplace and pool table. That is exactly what we did in the design and here is how we did it. First, we got rid of the kitchen table and by doing so we created a peninsular. This eventually sets up the space for a couple of really cool pendant lights, some unique counter chairs and a wine cooler that was purchased before but never really had a home. We then turned our attention to the range and hood. This was not the main kitchen, so wall storage wasn’t the main goal here. We wanted to create a more open feel interaction while in the kitchen, hence we designed the free standing chimney hood alone to the left of the window. We then looked at how we can make it more entertaining. We did that by adding a Wine rack on a buffet style type area. This wall was free and would have remained empty had we not find a way to add some more glitz. Finally came the counter-top. Every detail was crucial because the view of the kitchen can be seen from when you enter the front door even if it was on the second floor walk out. The use of the space called for a waterfall edge counter-top and more importantly, the stone selection to further accentuate the effect. It was crucial that there was movement in the stone which connects to the 45 degree waterfall edge so it would be very dramatic. Nothing was overlooked in this space. It had to be done this way if it was going to have a fighting chance to take command of its territory. Amazing ultra-modern/Mid-Century Modern Home. Vaulted ceilings and lots of glass make this home a Mid-Century Modern Masterpiece. The kitchen was outdated so we opened up the space and added a guest bath, utility closet and open-concept kitchen. This island is 10' Long with a large Copper Sink. The solid surface white waterfall island was cut on a 45 degree angle and California Red Oak helped accent the front piece.

The contemporary styled Ebner residence sits perched atop a hill in West Atascadero with sprawling 360 degree views. The 3-winged floor plan was designed to maximize these views and create a comfortable retreat for the Ebners and visiting guests. Upon arriving at the home, you are greeted by a stone spine wall and 17’ mitered window that focuses on a majestic oak tree, with the valley beyond. The great room is an iconic part of the design, covered by an arch formed roof with exposed custom made glulam beams. The exterior of the house exemplifies contemporary design by incorporating corten cladding, standing seam metal roofing, smooth finish stucco and large expanses of glass. Amenities of the house include a wine cellar, drive through garage, private office and 2 guest suites.

Enclosed kitchen - mid-sized modern u-shaped light wood floor enclosed kitchen idea with an undermount sink, flat-panel cabinets, dark wood cabinets, quartz countertops, brown backsplash, ceramic backsplash, stainless steel appliances and a peninsula

In this bathroom remodel we installed Medallion Cherry Onyx Providence Flat panel doors and drawers with matching recessed mirrored medicine cabinets. The cabinets are accented with Richelieu contemporary metal knobs and pulls. Two square white Kohler undermount china sinks and Moen 90 Degree single handle faucets and two handle roman tub, paper holder, towel bar, robe hook. On the countertop is Cambria Bellingham quartz. In the shower is a 75” tall TruFit Semi-Frameless Swing Door and Panel Enclosure in Chrome with 3/8” glass. Florim Ethos Grey 12 x 24 porcelain tile is installed on the bathroom floor and shower walls with Stainless steel twilight Bliss Mist linear accent tile. On the shower floor is 2” x 2” Ethos Grey hexagon mosaic tile. With a 2” x 28” niche with shelf for storage. On the floor is 5” solid oak hand scraped wood flooring. In the bedroom we installed Kraus Dark Gunstock Maderia hardwood flooring.

Custom cabinetry installation. 9' linen cabinet with 4 large roll outs in the bottom half, and adjustable shelves in the upper section. Vanity base cabinets with flat panel doors and drawer fronts. Solid maple dovetailed drawers with full extension soft close under-mount glides. Doors are fitted with 110 degree soft close hinges. 6" mitered edge quartz countertops with vessel sinks and matte black faucets.

To tie in warmth and masculinity, we've opted for custom miter-cut shelves in the corner. Windows give us great light and a corner cabinet can block a lot of it out, so floating shelves seemed most appropriate (no visible hardware).
